Cheers Christian but their site only covers the EVC Z and EVC4.
The link John sent was spot on! He's a star. Even HKS themselves couldn't help me as they didn't have it in English (think I'll email them a copy)
Thanks
Rich

Hi Peeps.
I've recently fitted an EVC IV as well but the PRO version. I can find no set-up instrcutions for this model, and I know it has a different learning mode to the normal IV.
Can anyone help me too?
Stef.

So how does the boost controller adjust the important aspect of fuelling? - or does it just not bother....
Whats the max boost you can get without adjusting fuelling?
Presumably you're running Shell superunleaded, with booster
We can have a chat at the weekend - I'm getting a tad worried about what you're doing with the car... it might keep up with me at some point..... then again.. it might not.....
Just need to get a proper suspension set up on now..

Yes, Steve I'm running Optimax with booster.
The car seems happy up to 1.15 bar, although I do get some stuttering, which may be overboost, but it shouldn't be as I've got an HKS Fuel cut defender fitted and I'm showing as running rich on boost with my AFR meter.
Thought of maybe upping the fuel pressure next with an HKS AFR or FCON 5.
Stef, try mailing Michael @ HKSEU1@aol.com
Cheers
Rich
Would love to know what the stuttering is, feels like there's ABS on the accelerator! Could it be fuel starvation?

Sounds like its the ignition retarding to protect the engine - then again it may not be. 1.15 bar aint high at all... so I'm surprised...
Dont see why stuttering would be overboost?
Would'nt know unless I drove it.
If you want a good answer and are worried drop Bob Rawle a mail offline - I'm sure he'd have a pretty good idea....
You should stop messing about with this crap. An electronic boost controller is only a sophisticated bleed valve (waiting to be flamed!) you really should sort out a proper ECU and I dont mean piggy back rubbish!
Perhaps you could try get a second hand Link - like all the big boys have?
