Am I the only one that acknowledges other scooby drivers?

For anyone who has any interest in psycho-analysis or personality profiling, this is a case study in introverted versus extroverted expression of core human motivations.
Note that the two posters who have expressed negative views on this thread of public acknowledgements of fellow drivers have 17,000 and 18,000 posts on Scoobynet respectively. This suggests that they have the same desire to connect with other enthusiasts, but that they prefer to do so in a virtual environment.
One is not better than the other - as has already been pointed out, it's horses for courses, and in fact underlying it all we're actually all rather similar.

Apparently its acceptable to meet up with "mates" who have the same car as you, but not wave at them .
Apparently its acceptable to **** a girl who drives the same car as you, who you only met because she used to **** a bloke who drove the same car as you .

Did either of yours come with the homologation rear wing risers? (Did you fit them? )
Or were they only available on the "WRC" run?
How did you get on with the 205's weight and gearing... And ultimately performance? (From memory, Performance Car criticised the former for being 'too much' for the power, and the latter for being out of kilter with the turbo's delivery).

Always had a bit of a soft spot for the 185 and 205.
Love the 185 Carlos Sainz in white. Made me laugh that the power went up by just 4bhp (or PS?) compared to the regular GT-Four (205 v 201 lol). Love the CS's WRC-styled front bumper; its front aspect looks awesome.

Chargecooler soaks heat like a sponge so with a front mount intercooler and ebc and zaust with de cat you should get around 350 from them . I think up from that to say 400 or 450 you have to go forged pistons, uprated turbo and ecu etc. The standard ecu's on these cannot be remaped.

st165, st185 and st205 was just different models of the GT4s and not refering to their power strangely.
165s = 182 brake
185s = 201 brake i think
205s = 242
205 WRC = 250

Yeah, I knew they were model codes. : thumb:
It's weird, though, that the succeeding model's code's number just happens to be the nominal power of its predecessor (just an unintentional coincidence).

I had one of those Celica 185's a way back it was the biggest bag of poo I ever owned. AND I have had some seriously of the wall cars over the years. It was by far the worst, luckily it speared off the road on aquaplaning and destroyed itself against a tree.
It's only saving grace was that I was more or less OK - with just severe forearm stretch where the damn seat back broke.
The car was wrecked.
