Good choice!
We had a 10 plate cooper turbo diesel, and it was a hoot - most fun car I've had to date. At least our one was awesome in the twisties (both on the original bridgestone (?) and michelin <something> tyres).
Still miss it every time I see one, but sadly need four doors.

They have a good chasis and a wide rack which makes them quite capable in the twisties, even a NA will do well with correct driver (me )

I have bigger fish to fry.
I could always tell her NO.....but after all she is my 'wife' and not my girlfriend so I chose to keep her as I'm happy with what I have.
If you knew me in person you'd know I'm not a pushover

Daughter had a 13 plate cooper d very unimpressed with it tbh, yes ok it was nippy (ish) but so unrewarding to drive. Was returning around 48 mpg and as said above no room at all in the boot, she only had it 8 mths so not probs with it fault wise just seemed a very bland car with no soul to it. It was the same as any german car good but you could jump out of one into another and it would drive and feel just the same no character at all.
