3 coats was a 1500 grams of primer, ill prob block back about 1 to 1.5 coats, just lets me block it completely flat,

I'm really please with the overall condition of the car, all the arches are completely rust free as is the back panel, the front crossmember has a bit of surface rust. But that's easily sorted,

Chris were actually really busy lol, was surprised when dad said get it on the ramp, must of been the treat of going fishing lol. Only spent a couple hours on the car today.

I love it! My wife and I are tossing around the idea of heading back to belgium or germany. If I do I'll be storing or selling my cars here and buying a white blob spec c or a group n car over there.

Your car is ****

Good day today,

Me and dad both started prepping the car, 320 blocked, then 800 blocked followed by all the edges and what not by hand

Car was then put into the booth and I started to paint her,

IMAG2213 by cuprajake1, on Flickr

IMAG2215 by cuprajake1, on Flickr

The cars sat air drying now, so won't get touched till at least Thursday/Friday.

Tomorrow before end of play I need to paint:

Boot and spoiler (now I know all my decals can be bought)
Handles
Mirrors
Scoop
Bumpers

I'm hoping I can do all of those in one sitting, a new front screen trim has been ordered too.

A tired jake

On the final stretch now,

Car is 99% built up,

Went and picked the new screen trim up ready for the glass to go in tomorrow,

New clips fitted, it's gone back together better than when I bought it, few bits of blacking doing on the scoop, and bumper. And I'm awaiting my new decals and badges from Japan, via cotton competition

Few pics,

Jake, Anything you need from japan go direct to japan parts, They are usually cheaper, I got my oil cooler pipe nearly £100 cheaper than RCM quoted me and it still needed ordering from japan as nobody in the UK had one...i got it for £55 all in, was a ball ache to swap though, lol

i was just unlucky in one respect but lucky in another, the pipes are very tight behind the drivers headlight and it must have had a bit of light rubbing at some point and corroded and resulted in a small pin ***** hole which decided to leak oil through my spotlight cover, Easy enough fix with the part

Lovely car bud. Any one know how many blobeyed spec c were made before they brought out the widetrack spec c? I know they did a 16 and 17inch wheel model.

Seen a few for sale and didnt know if they were built to a limited number like 1000?
