I am not saying it from a technical/engineering point of view its just how they make me feel, its different from one person to the next and subjective. But you don't think the steering wheel has a nice manly feel to it? Its by no means a tank but gives me a mechanical planted feeling.

I feel like its a real mans car but can't deny, the evo on paper at least is the far better car.

If I was given a evo, in no small way would I be disappointed but as a car for the road its the Subaru all the way for me.
What impreza do you own? Don't think I could describe the doors on mine as 'weighty'. In fact I'm fairly sure the only thing behind my rear door cards is the window motor, cus I'm certain there's no sound deadening.

My experience is not vast but have driven 8 scoobys and 4 evos. I have been in a few more but ALWAYS had to hold on a bit more in the evos. As for power its a bit more difficult because most had be moded but like for like(ish) the evos were faster. I could be wrong but from what most have said and I have read they say the same, the evo like for like is faster .

P.s how come I have to put up with this s**t? I wasn't the first to say the evos are technically better , or do I not want to know?

Its just how I feel, I haven't weighed the doors , I am not saying I think there heavy just that I like the feeling.

I seem to have upset a few by saying how I feel about cars that I have owned and experienced. I haven't driven all cars so can only say how I feel about the ones I have.

But I ask, am I on the wrong site here.(don't answer) I like the solid feel that I get from the Subaru. They may be s**t cars (there seems to be a few on here that think so) ,they might not but i don't care, its SUBJECTIVE .

Great looking car Anger, beginning to wonder if I made a mistake buying my widetrack blob, running 409 bhp at the moment, but seems the evo would still be a more thrilling drive

Comparing my mates ev fq360 to my p1 running 330 ish...my p1 is quicker...evo handles better but in reality i think the difrence in these cars is the driver in in performance wise.both beutifull cars

That's Clive's Heather in the passenger seat

I have a blob STi again at the moment but looking to change back into a classic RA if the right one comes along, had done a deal on a low mileage V3 STi RA but the fella pulled out after I got the money out

Always found newer Evo handles much better then the newage subaru's straight from the factory, depending on which model, obviously a Spec C will run rings around a Evo 8 260 so not point in comparing, but for arguments sake a Blob STi PPP vs a Evo 8 Mr FQ320 then the STi would struggle to keep up on a track!!!

Straight line power I much prefer the way the Subaru STi accelerates!!
Not saying which one is faster as thats a bit stupid as there are never going to be standard vs standard as most have had some upgrades!!

Dont think I would bother with a Evo again, unless it was a nice Evo 9 GT or a mint Evo 6 RS come up for sale at a good price, trouble is a good 9 GT is about the same price as a good Spec C and I always go funny at the knees when I see a white spec c.
