its bad isnt it! you found it anywhere else apart from the above? mine came off pretty easy actually, i was supprised, make sure the car is in the air, and you have a good breaker bar and quality sockets, you could try my method and drop the lot all as one, then split it once all on the ground, wd40 all the nuts and scrape the rust off them so the sockets fit well, this is all i can think of- oh and some goggle or glasses, you will get a nice rust shower haha

Are you leaving the slam panel cut out or are you going to weld some new metal in there - I know mine needs doing but I am tempted to cut it all out and put a round bar in place - more like the start of a space-frame

im just going to leave the bottom part in like it is, just throw some more paint over it, then make some little brackets to make the bonnet latch leg solid, space frame would be cool though haha

I'm not so worries about the bonnet latch leg as I have aeroctaches - I'm going to delete the bonnet catch completely - I'm more interested in how the PS cooler and hella horns mount

havnt thought about the air con yet, ill have a look tomorrow and see what i can work up, but the horns i am going to mount on the bonnet latch holes, im thinking of going with aero catches too, as im not 100% confident with the carbon bonnet not wanting to open at speed

not much to update. was going to have the car taken to engine tuner for some initial mapping, but due to needing a 100% reliable car for taking me to and fro uni i couldnt justify the risk and cost if it went wrong. but big engine plans for 12 months time

couple small things, drivers harness

back at uni now so nothing to say really, finally got a set of front arch liners to fit soon, and fitted a quick release hub on the steering wheel for added security

Well think i should update this, breaks my heart to say this but the impreza is no more, i was involved in a crash, came round a corner a bit quick with some mud on and the car slid off the road into a tree. Insurance claim has been settled and car has been purchased back as a cat c. just gutted that i never got to where i wanted to get with the car. i feel the best thing for it is to be broken for parts, the car will be back with me in a couple of weeks for this. a couple photos of the car anyhow, its a bit of a mess
