Hello to all and a Question on MPG, and before you say do a search........

Well you would have to start by moding your bank account ,at least £4,000 to get you going. I could be way out but I am sure some one will correct me if I am wrong.

Bigger injectors or an adjustable fuel pressure reg
full exhaust system
decent panel filter
uprated fuel pump
set of 7B plugs
Bigger turbo.
Mapping
Thats pretty much it, if you buy it all second hand you can do 400 fairly cheap.

Bigger injectors or an adjustable fuel pressure reg - i have a sard RRFPR sat in the garage
full exhaust system - already on the car
decent panel filter - already on the car
uprated fuel pump - think the ppp came with one?
set of 7B plugs - not going to break the bank
Bigger turbo. - about the only thing i would need to source
Mapping - would be stupid changing a turbo and not having it mapped
finally would it not be sensible to have a front mount at that power and upgrading to an induction kit?
what are the standard engine good for?
ooooo i think i know what im going to be saving for this year

If your concerned about reliability then doing a half hearted job using second hand parts isn't the way to go IMO. But it does seem to be the case that the standard block and internals are up to the job.

sounds quite feasible then

Probably best to put fresh plugs in too
Not really.
Also, PPP'd cars generally never make the claimed bhp
Its the torque gains that you'll be most impressed with though.

To be fair they were refreshed when I bought the car(48,000 miles remap at 50,000miles), but changed them again at 60,000 miles. Same as what was in there, but wondered if I should have gone for the colder ones.
