If he'd have been playing for Liverpool I'd have gone with clever. For his country! full blown nutter! He realised what he'd done at the end of the game and that tells me that it was a looney spur of the moment incident.
Barca and Madrid will be loving it, might have just gone down in price

Fifa have to ban him. There is no place for that on a football pitch and he is an utter lunatic. How many more times is he going to bite someone on the pitch? He has let everyone down who stood by him before and I hope he is universally condemned for this latest chomp out of someone.

This is the 3rd time he has done this now.. Once you could say he is a nutter.. Twice you really start to think he is not all the ticket.. Third time.......
IMHO he should be banned from international football for life and a 1 year ban (minimum) from ALL football... This is a hugely televised event watched by hundreds of millions of people around the world... Including children who will now try to replicate this on Sunday league thinking it's acceptable as they've seen (arguably) the 3rd best player in the world do it..
Just my opinion of course..

It wasn’t as if Suarez bit a child, say experts
EXPERTS have stressed that Luis Suarez bit a large Italian footballer and not a tiny child.
The Italian footballer, shortly before he died
With many calling for the Uruguayan striker to be jailed, doctors said Suarez’s victim had already made a full recovery, despite pretending to be dead.
Sports injury specialist, Dr Martin Bishop, said: “The key difference between biting an opponent and going in hard with your studs up is that biting them is much, much more interesting.
“The actual biting injury is usually pretty mild. Mr Suarez is a medium-sized Uruguayan, not a Sumatran tiger.”
Dr Bishop added: “If Mr Suarez had ran towards the crowd, grabbed a small child and bit it on the face, then yes, you want the police involved at that point.
“But, as far as I understand, Mr Suarez has no desire to bite infants. He just wants to bite large professional footballers. Preferably Italian.
“Despite what Alan Shearer may tell you, that’s perfectly normal.”
Meanwhile, many fans have welcomed the incident and called on Fifa to legalise biting on a trial basis.
Stephen Malley, from Peterborough, said: “There is something dark and primal about it which I find utterly irresistible.
“Give both teams 10 bites each. And it has to be below the waist.”

I'd heard there was talk of making him wear a gum shield every time he steps onto a football pitch I'd like to see FIFA impose that and also make sure he has been tested for rabies before he bites anyone else
The 3 people he has bitten have been very restrained to their credit, it's a shame one of them didn't teach him a lesson and knock his teeth out which would perhaps have made him think twice about doing it again.

With that attitude FIFA should be looking to sanction the Uruguayan FA as well for not condemning the actions of it's player.

As for retaliation, yeah, point taken.
But the consequence of 'reacting' could be far greater than that of the biter

Now to sit back and watch the Uruguayan FA and team kick right off over this. Hopefully FIFA punish them next for not taking their own action against such behaviour. He is going to take some flack if he comes back and plays in the Premiership and I think he will be sold if a high enough offer comes in for him, off to Real Madrid he goes. He can go and chomp his way through La Liga...

. . . Except he's banned from all footballing activity, including admin. FIFA were clueless in the press conference, but that would indicate that he can't sign for anyone else either.

Surprise, surprise, the Uruguay FA are appealing against the ban, citing it's too harsh.
The inevitability of it all.
The gnawy-toothed little c**t should be banned for life. Three offences not enough for you, FIFA?!?! FFS.

And there lies the problem. No one it seems in Uruguay thinks he has done anything wrong. Obviously biting people in Uruguay is an every day occurrence.
As for his Gran, he bites like a wild dog so it's time he was treated like one you daft old bag

You've got to see the funny side of some of the overreactions An off-the-ball manly punch, elbow or two-footed lunge is fine but a nibble is beyond the pale
Nobody can justify what he's done (multiple times), but some people need to get some perspective
To cite the usual 'football is for girls, rugby is for men' analogy, punching the head off another player in rugby is commonplace.

I rest my case, even the Uruguayan President thinks it was fine
The South Americans are a bunch of biters
And Dunk, biting is something a naughty child does to another child, for a grown adult to do it something is seriously wrong them. So no it's not comparable to a punch or a two footed tackle.
Maradona also spoke to Uruguay's president Jose Mujica, who was waiting for Suarez at Montevideo airport, via video link.
Mujica suggested FIFA was punishing Suarez for reasons other than the aggression against Chiellini, which is the third time in his career he has bitten an opponent.
"We feel that this is an assault on the poor because this gang will never forgive him because he never went to university, he isn't educated, he grew up on the field, and he is a natural rebel and expresses his anger naturally," said the president.
"Here they add everything together but the boy really shouldn't be blamed for his reaction. It's a match and these things happen and then there's no need to look into every incident, because if we did that in every game we'd be playing five-a-side."

Perspective. For a player to punch another or intentionally break another's leg means there's something seriously wrong with them. Biting's childish, yes I agree, but I wouldn't tell Tyson or Vinnie Jones that

What punishment do you think he would have got if he had punched someone on 3 different occasions on the football pitch in his career? I think they would have banned him for life yet biting 3 different times in his career only gets a 4 month ban?
It's the mentality of it, adults just don't bite people in anger and he is seriously cuckoo to do it 3 times. Everyone knows Tyson is cuckoo and he only did it once! Punch ups happen all the time, they are wrong but it's thought of as 'normal' behaviour when 2 blokes lose it with each other and it goes too far. They are idiots for doing it but you don't think they are mentally disturbed like you would if they bit each other.

He's a fruit loop. He has such a desire to win that it spills over and he does stupid stuff. His overwhelming desire is part of what makes him the brilliant player he is, but that bit (excuse pun) needs training out of him.
Growing up in Swale I've seen lots of loons bite people in anger and do more than leave a little mark
