I'm with OP.

I was unfortunate enough to have a broken 754 box on my Legacy. The amount of bollox breakers came out with to try and justify £400+ for a gearbox off a thirteeen year old car that pretty much never breaks was amazing. I can buy a bottom end failed Legacy GTB for less than £800. Why pay half of that for a gearbox alone. In the end a forum member sold me his off a breaker for £50 including the diff.

I was tempted to go for a 6 speed setup (non dccd) however the fact that most 6 speed setups are around a decade old and non have been driven around like granny put me off.

VF35's need to come down in price. They are mediocre turbo's not capable of exciting power levels so should not be much more than a TD04.

Same with 10 year old Brembo's which will need a rebuild. Everyone...stop being stupid with prices.

£50 for a gear box and diff lol.... there is a middle ground between breakers pulling your pants down and pikey owners that want something for nothing and then moan when it's not made of gold

With regards to this^^^

Why not start a thread for freebies/giveaways I.e. if you have something
you don't need or can't use put it up for collection free first come first served.

Just a thought.

I was stupid and paid a breaker for a ech which i could have got direct from them new cheaper, cost me more to have it mapped because it was second hand so i ended up paying way more than new, but then that my own stupid fault lol
Prices are way over the top, know they need to make a profit but some prices are ridiculous!
