Thanks for the replies everybody, great to read! I'm sure he'll be up for the meet on the 11th, i'll make sure to tell him to bring the service booklet too

As you can imagine it's pretty much all motorway miles, some if not the majority of the panels have been resprayed at some point (in the last 230,000 miles), certainly one side was done after someone got carried away with a key With regards to servicing i'm afraid all I know is that he's used the same place since he's owned it

Makes the people who change their £15 per litre oil every 3000 miles look a bit daft.

With regards to oil changes, he could probably get away with every 10k because any fuel in the oil will be getting burned off with constant motorway trips, but someone doing lots of short journeys will need to change their oil much more often or run the risk of it being degraded / full of fuel, so either get it on the motorway for an hour or two to burn the fuel off or change the oil, either way it's going to cost £50/ 70 in fuel or the same for new oil and filter.

This must be a contender for the highest mileage on here surely!

Just shows you, look after them and they'll run forever

I've got a Hawk WRX with 92K on it now. Original engine/headgaskets, I'm not afraid to give it some boost either. Serviced every 5k on average using a good fully synth, millers or fuchs 5w-30.

My classic import WRX has 185k on the clock. I have no idea when it was converted to miles though, if anything its loosened it up

We've already got one Hawk WRX on over 100k and this one on over 250k.

Plus a mapped hatch I saw at 110k iirc.

My Hawk STi Spec-D had 125k on its original engine before I sent it for breaking as nobody else would pay the asking price!
