In fact this could be a new way to buy these sort of cars. The OP may be a trendsetter.

Could be a 2/3 pager this
Does the key work in the door lock Yes / NO
Does the key turn the ignition Yes/No
Alarm pin code Yes /NO
Did you buy the car from a dodgy looking bloke at a gypsy fair at Appleby Yes /No
Once we have more info we can move forward with this puzzle

With all due respect to the op, should we start being nice in the hope he/she finds a solution?
Something along the lines of going back in time and not hastily giving money to a stranger for a car with a non functioning key.
Previous owner must laughed watching drive away.
Anyway, new member new car where are the pics???

I feel for him to be fair, the excitement of getting a new car, especially one you've always wanted makes it easy to forget to check even seemingly simple things.
There's likely to be a straightforward explanation for the problem be it a seized lock or a door being replaced from a breaker and the lock not getting swapped out.
I hope he sorts it because he's had a bit of a baptism of fire here on SN..

Seriously though, you wouldn't by a car without proper keys no matter who was selling it or no matter how badly you wanted.
If the op poster is still reading this post which I doubt I suggest get an aftermarket alarm fitted!

Get something done quick before it gets stolen and your insurance wont care as you didnt lock it/it was stolen with the keys.
One wonders if the seller has "another one". Same year, colour etc.
