I kind of knew ( from living just off seafront ) with the forecast the swimming would be canceled. - and it was

Hasn't blown a five for a month, just typical.

ARRGHH!!!!

When I did my first triathlon (sea swim, MYTB ride, coast run) there was a parallel event with kayaking instead of the swim - it was SO windy, the kayak event was cancelled and the poor bu99ers had to run twice instead!!
It made for an interesting swim (the swim course was a bit more sheltered); it was about force 7 and rather choppy! I think I gulped sea water every other breath!
