I'm torn between a good standard setup using Brembo Hc discs and pagid oem pads from As Performance for £100 or go the whole hog and get front and rear grooved disc and kevlar pads from Godspeed for £235. Don't know if Alyn stocks the rears.

Why don't you call both of them and have a chat, both very helpful and don't mind talking you through the options.

Just to add , a lot of performance discs are high carbon now , ours included , it seems to be the standard now with good discs , high carbon discs don't offer any more performance , its more for low noise

Ours are also grooved , and have nice black painted centres , if its fronts only you're after we supply them for £119.99 , or £235 F&R

Hope this helps
Cheers Ian

Hi Ian

Thanks for posting.

Did you see my pm?

Its just the Kevlar pads that I am little concerned about. Are they the German ones that you supply in the disc and pad deals?

Want them to give me at least 2 or 3 hard stops before any fade sets in.

Just purchased my brakes from Godspeed. Don't know the name of the gentleman on the phone, but was very polite and helpful.

Was told it should be a 48 hour delivery time.

Forgot to ask what PCD they were!

I ordered 294mm calipers, brand new 4 pots, orange stuff pads and new braided hoses.

Nice,

I won't be able to fit them for a few days anyway, what with work

Does anyone know of any good tutorials videos or full brake replacement?

Snap.

Well, just the discs the pads.

Ian answered the phone but then passed me to Ben. What a pleasant bunch of guys to speak to. Makes all the difference.

If it helps, Chris, I had Ian's grooved discs and kevlar pads all round (4 pots front, single pots rear) on my mast Impreza. That was a Wagon on standard suspension running 284/317. Brakes were well upto the job for the odd squirt of POWWARGH
