Can't speak for the first half because we didn't watch it, but I enjoyed the second.
Even when they are not at their best, they are poles apart from our lot.
I agree.

Obviously an England win will only be a momentary, scant consolation, but it will at least 'lift' the mood a tad.... Must take something 'positive' out of this tournament before they bugger off back to the UK....
Even if they give Costa Rica a bleddy hard game and not win, I will believe that there's some life left in our team for future.
I want our team to fall all over and over one another- like others do. I want them to be absolutely mental about wanting to keep that football glued and secure to their feet and their feet only. I want them to just forget about everything and just go for it.
I really hope they do it with terrific team spirit, which I think lacks very badly among our players. They are individually alright for their clubs and with their club teams, but they seem to lack spirit when it comes to playing for their nation. It needs sorting.
I may not hope anything tomorrow, but I do hope so for future international participation.
I've just finished catching up with the recording. Found it quite boring. IMO the pair of new kids i.e. Sturridge and Sterling are the only 'rabbit run' promises for the future, but give them a few months and they'll also go rigid. At the moment they look as if they belong to some better team than their own. Rooney was ok since he came in, but he couldn't inject any excitement either. Lampard tried from the start, but the other ones always came in his way to block him. Their goal keeper's socks were far too high, I thought. He looked like a Peter Pan in black.
Commentators kept breaking the news about URU Vs. Italy excitements. I wish I had recorded that now.

I'm sure Chiellini now feels he has to shoulder some of the blame for Italy's loss. Will Suarez get a ban? I'm sure it's something he's chewing on while he awaits FIFA's decision.
To be fair, to be such a good footballer he has to be a bit abnormal. Ok, he bites people. But he's good at his game as well. Inside every genius hides a mental.
