I know England (the national team, that is) is a 'dirty word' right now, but still looking forward to a proper competitive match (for 17 years!) against the auld enemy, tomorrow.

Bring it on!

The Jocks will always raise their game against England and have surprised us a number of times at Wembley .
I would like to see a robust Scorland team take it to England -Time for these over paid pansies to stand up and be counted .If they dont , Scotland will get a result.

Gazza merking Colin Hendry in Euro 96 is probably the most iconic moment of this fixture in living memory.......Pure class.

....Oh, and we should of won that tournament

Totally. On both counts.

We played great in that tournament. That Holland match.

Not a great start from England, but 1 up at half time

3-0 to England, I think the Scots were unlucky and should have scored at least two. Must say though that the England performance was a tad better than the usual tip tap crap they get up to.

Very, very lucky win against a team that couldn't put the ball in the net.Any half decent team would have scored 3 or 4 against England's woeful defensive errors & would have a better defence themselves. So let's see what we make of Spain.

Spain will murder what is the worst England team, possibly ever! We have no creativity and the defence is shocking. Stones and Cahill are a liability and the fullbacks can't defend either....Maybe if the media stopped hyping up the over rated players we could settle into mediocrity and release the pressure on the national side....All in all, same old same old.

So much of me wanted Scotland to win that

They played with grit and determination

We're are still relying on "belief"

Reality is a harsh mistress

Can ANYONE tell me what Wayne Rooney brought to the table? Apart from iconism, that is?

Yep. And they've been good value for their lead, too.

I'm seriously considering sitting on the sofa now rather than watching from behind it. No, think I'll stay here for a litte bit longer!

Oops. They were lucky not to lose it at the end, they looked spent.

I do like the no-nonsense attitude of Vardy though

Great goal

Fell asleep...

Now awaiting the appointment of Gareth "yes man" Southgate because he is exactly what the FA love in a football manager...

Spain were at their zenith with tiki-taka.

But it was ruthlessly found wanting, at the last world cup. Their 'party' is over.
