Replaced the rear decal and badge...
Reinstated OEM badging/detailing FTW.
When I got my STi 5, one of the first things I did was reinstate the missing 'WRX Subaru Technica International' tailgate decal. With the correct 'green' one and in exactly the same OEM position.

I always take the front bumpers off my Evo's, and take the mesh out and respray them, as there quite easy to un-clip and give them a quick coat of paint as they do get quite tatty after a bit of road rash has hit them!!
But to be fair yours already look clean so im guessing there already been done or its been very well looked after???
My Evo 6 GSR(Painted the standard cooler silver, and intercooler mesh)
My Evo 7 GSR (Painted the intercooler black and all the bumper mesh black)
My 6 RSX(same again, painted the intercooler mesh silver, and the rest are black, also painted black the meshed fog light covers

I'm going to try to get the rest of then car cleaned up next weekend, the mesh seems ok so far, but I think they sprayed it at SVA

Moley, how do you find the power delivery? Is it not as exciting as the flat-4? If so, do you blame it on the relatively normal inline-4 exhaust note?
That said, they make their torque peak a fair chunk lower down the rev range - can you feel that too?

I do like the flat four burble, but after 10 years of it, it's nice to have a change.
One thing I have noticed, so many more people look at it. I've even had my neighbours comment how nice it is, and they never showed an interest in the Subaru.

I love it. No lag at all, and got good torque. Pretty lazy to drive.

I was never impressed with straight line performance and power delivery in the Evo's, but I dont think ive been in a car that can handle as well as a Evo can to be honest, So I think you will be impressed when you take it on some twisty B roads!!

This is just my opinion based on standard "ish" cars. I am not trying to upset anyone and I am a nice person.

Ive driven a Evo 6 and 7 RS and owned a 6 RSX and owned 6 GSR and 7 GSR and I found the 6 GSR handled the best out of all of them, The RS versions felt a bit lairy for me which they are more track focused where you really do have to drive them, where as the 6 GSR seemed to handle well with very little effort, I really got on with my 6 RSX as it was a mix of GSR & RS(RS driving aids or lack off, with GSR creature comforts)
If I could put it in Subaru terms a Evo 6 RS felt much like a Version 1/2 STi type RA ive driven, just felt nimble, revs really quick due to the ratio's of the gearbox, but point it somewhere and there is no lag, but you got to know its limit unless you can really drive it, great on a track but a bit pointless as a everyday car.

That's a great looking car and very tidy. I jumped to Evo VI ownership many years ago but unfortunately head ruled heart and I bought an unloved one which probably had almost every fault possible - warped discs, AYC pump failure, noisy lash adjusters, split actuator, flakey alloys and broken air con. I paid less than market price but spent a few grand so kept it only 1 year.
That said, by the end it was running great and was so much fun. The gearing was shorter than my old Scooby but it pulled like a train and the handling was lovely. You get some serious looks when in an Evo too and it feels special in my opinion.
Enjoy, I know you will!
