I think there is only 6 or 7 people who have done it , so a good chance of winning
I asked about the parade lap on rally car day but was told its full but I can go on the reserve list

your a nag bag aren't you lol

No not yet , will do it in the next couple of days so whoever wins can arrange to go , my son is taking one of my other rally cars , the VW Golf , so i'll include some runner up spots to take them around the rally stage they run in the corner , so at least more can get a go

Will only be taking the WRC car once on the track , I'm doing the Jersey rally on the 10th/11th of OCT so don't want to temp fate by taking it on the track for all 4 sessions we get in the clubmans rally pack , and there's not enough mileage left on the engine to do that , and the Jersey rally.

The engine needs rebuilding every 620 competitive miles , and its £5k + vat for the rebuild as long as nothing out of the ordinary needs doing ! Just had delivery of my new carbon AP clutch yesterday , that was £3.5k , expensive game these WRC cars , glad i'm only keeping it a year to tick off my bucket list

No doing it sunday

Ok sunday might be late lol

Seems your nagging paid off Dave Y as you have just been pulled out of the hat

I will be out on the track at 11.30 in session 14 , if you come and see me before hand to make sure the belts fit ok , and you will have to be signed on to go out on the track, i'll be up the right hand side of the track with the other rally cars going out on the track.

Do you have a helmet or do you want me to borrow one for you , i'll fit my gopro camera and do a copy of the session for you .

My son is taking my Golf to rag it around the track , so I have also done a runner up prize of taking someone out on the small rally track up the right hand side of the main track , and the person who's name came out for that was Kerstin off the P1 owners club.

Thank you to those who donated , think there was about 7 who did it from the forums , and all helps , I think the 4 guys who were raising money raised £3000 , so good on them , all for a good cause

Well done Dave , see you tomorrow

Cheers Ian

Just got back from Rallyday.
I had my ride in the Godspeed Subaru...................Amazing.
A once in a lifetime experience. The speed, the noise, the brakes and last but not least
Mr Ian Godney who certainly is no slouch behind the wheel.
I loved every second.
Thanks again Ian

Was a great day. All the scoobies put on a good show and seemed to navigate the tight hairpin near the start of the course a lot better than most!

Godspeed Subaru looked great too

Ian big thanks for letting me buy some track time off you. C

I didn't get on first session as drove off with ticket on roof of car

But did enjoy the 3:20 session. Thought I was going to get mullered by all the rally cars in with me.

I know what you mean felt a right plonker I went from SIDC stand to noise test half way there remembered But to late both gone. So I headed back at least found the 3:20 one on floor.

Yes I did enjoyed the track time. I cooked nearside front re070. Pressure went through roof 48psi. Had to slow up last two laps.

I drew out a second place to take that winner around the small rally track , was going to use my Golf but decided to test out the new steering pump on the twisty section , the Winner was Kerstin from the P1 owners club who had come over from Germany to be at the show, she knew she won a couple of days before but thought she was going in the Golf , she was very happy to know she was going in the Subaru on the morning , as you can she , safe to say she enjoyed it

Dave , I have converted the incar from your session ready to burn to disc , I've put the whole lot in , from waiting in the queue to driving back to where I was parked , i'll edit it to include just the track session and also upload that , should be overnight as it will take about 6-7 hours to upload

Cheers Ian
