Genuine Question BTW!
I agree, it does seem strange that someone who did so much good (from public information films to art to classic pop songs) can fall so fast. Indeed to some extent, the same with Jimmy Saville (lots of charity work etc.).

If they (and potentially others) were so evil, there has to be more to the story. Some sort of cover-up, a masonic lodge or whatever. They can't have acted in isolation!

Just waiting for the next "target"

You need to get a better auto-correct on whatever device you are using to connect to ScoobyNet - your current one is making you look somewhat retarded

The issue with sexual predators is that there is frequently the misconception that they are overtly creepy and easy to spot, whereas often because of the nature of the offense and the repercussions should they be caught, they become highly adept at concealing their activities from the way in which they integrate with normal life to their selection of victims.

Whatever the "impressions" of the man might be, he has been convicted in a court of law. I guess any judgements from that point then need to reflect the number and magnitude of his transgressions.

As for the issue of whether his crimes nullify any good he has done. I'd argue it's more a case that it retrospectively taints the good. One could not blame companies, and individuals from wanting to distance themselves from such a individual once their true nature has been revealed - for a public figure like him, that effectively means washing their hands of his body of work.

It's interesting though how some people have not had their work tainted by relationships with minors; think one of the biggest icons of music as an example.

I'm missing something here. Is 69 in the song or what?

No.

I'm on about the fact that 69 months won't necessarily mean he'll die in prison (as has been speculated by the media and suchlike)................

Ah OK. He'll be out in 3 years if he lasts that long? Was any of the sentence suspended? I thought it might be.

I did wonder if the mention of 69 was a reference to 69 in a sexual context.

lol

What 'amused' me was that he took a boat to court (he lives on the River Thames - not literally ). It reminded me of medieval times when the convicted used to travel by the Thames and through Traitors Gate, as their last ever journey!..........

Pity we can't deport the old perv, instead we have the pleasure of keeping him secure at our expense.

The rhythm of the wobble board reminds me of the noise a foreskin would make during masturbation.
Now it all adds up.
