I honestly don't really know how to take the Rolf verdict - especially as Aus and prob the BBC now are erasing all trace of him ever existing.... you can't take away the fact that he was a fabulous broadcaster, artist, entertainer & musician over many, many, years - has all that gone? I think not - yes he's been judged wrong by court, but should you literally write off everything he has done in the last 50 years? He painted the Queen FFS!, so was obviously held in very high regard... I mean he was no Jimmy Savile was he - everyone thought he was genuinely a freak even years ago - really don't think you can say the same about Rolf?
Genuine Question BTW!
Genuine Question BTW!
If they (and potentially others) were so evil, there has to be more to the story. Some sort of cover-up, a masonic lodge or whatever. They can't have acted in isolation!
Just waiting for the next "target"

Whatever the "impressions" of the man might be, he has been convicted in a court of law. I guess any judgements from that point then need to reflect the number and magnitude of his transgressions.
As for the issue of whether his crimes nullify any good he has done. I'd argue it's more a case that it retrospectively taints the good. One could not blame companies, and individuals from wanting to distance themselves from such a individual once their true nature has been revealed - for a public figure like him, that effectively means washing their hands of his body of work.
It's interesting though how some people have not had their work tainted by relationships with minors; think one of the biggest icons of music as an example.

Ah OK. He'll be out in 3 years if he lasts that long? Was any of the sentence suspended? I thought it might be.
I did wonder if the mention of 69 was a reference to 69 in a sexual context.

lol
What 'amused' me was that he took a boat to court (he lives on the River Thames - not literally ). It reminded me of medieval times when the convicted used to travel by the Thames and through Traitors Gate, as their last ever journey!..........
