Not usually the case. Continental posted on one of the MB forums to say other than the top of the range cars like the SLS or the Black Series AMGs (where specific MO tyres maybe for these models alone) the MO marking is just there to indicate they are Mercedes approved for OEM figment but equally these tyres could be fitted to other vehicles both as replacement and OE tyres and an MO tyre in the same series and size will be no differently manufactured to those without the MO marking.

Paul mpg is done under trip area of car scroll to it and them press down arrow you can have either overall or just for that trip ie from reset

Mate works at kwik Fit and is going to look Friday for me, As its runflat Kwik Fit wont repair it, but he will if he can.

But question is the Dunlop sportmaxx at kwikfit are 200 a pop MPSS are only 160

but which one

Super Sports are the best tyre currently available; get non RFTs and I think you'd add a massive amount of predictability and grip while removing almost all crashiness and tramlining.

I wouldn't say MPSS are the best tyre. I have them as a good compromise, but they have less dry grip and the tread blocks move around more than Dunlop run flats giving them a vagueness in comparison. Maybe check reports from your car?

ok not run flats I stand corrected, and they fixed it FREE good old kwikfit,

But they did ask me if they could hoist her up, and in turn they all got under it and said what a stunning piece of car it was. They were like kids....

Can't be many people who prefer Dunlop RFTs to MPSSs...

The GTR must be a unique case.

GTR on stock Dunlop runflats has a really sharp turn in, reminds me of good aftermarket suspension, on a dry and smooth surface. In the wet it is dangerous. On MPSS, it is good in the wet, but a definite compromise in summer performance. You feel more roll and get a bit interaction, but they are considerably less aggressive in outright dry performance. It isn't a case of a complete win in all departments.

You where lucky, I've never had a puncture in a performance tyre that could be repaired.. always too close to the edge or something.

Only last week had to replace a nearly new Goodyear F1 for that reason.

i love the look of these cars, especially the interior. i had a look around one in the flesh and was amazed at the size of it.

does it drive as well as it looks??? i see the resident "2.5 is fine" is offering his useless blinkered opinion, modern hot hatches are an amazing drive compared to 10 year old jap sheds.

Thats a good price on MPSS in that size as last year when I was looking for the RS they were almost £200. Found them for £180 and michelin were doing a £50 fuel card when you buy two or more so worked out £155 each without fitting.
