The only reason you'd need to be concerned is if and when you come to change up-pipe, exhaust (turbo back?) or turbo. Otherwise simply enjoy the extra performance.

I would consider a hawk but the higher tax band is a killer

Hawks (anything) reg'd before March (23rd?) 2006 are exempt.
My T20's £280pa.
However, a T-Hawk is way above what you say your budget is unfortunately.

Litchfield/Powerstation did a Type 20 and a Type 25, hence slims comments about the engine differences.
IMO, there's nothing special about the Litchfield conversions, it is like slim says a few bolt ons that you got charged a premium for at the time. They are all getting a bit long in the tooth now, and turbo's etc have moved on considerably in the meantime.

secondly I say the type 25 is a good option if you want a car thats already been done for you, the alterative is a car that has been modded my joe bloggs that won't hold its value quite the same and may also be a bit dated as you say like the type 25 is.

jdm blobs are twin scroll 2.0. uk blobs are single scroll 2.0.

personally i wouldnt bother paying the premium for a litchfiled car as its just a few bolt on items which you can do yourself, i know you will get the "turn around touch the ground its the best car ever" comments but its really just a standard car with some coilovers and a few other bits.

I'm guessing that 'fat-thomas' suffers the same spelling mistakes as the posts. Possibly should be 'Fatuous Thomas'.

- What "few other bits" ?;
5th Gear, Total Impreza, EVO on-line and possibly lots more were interested - and impressed - enough to feature it.
Oh - and has anyone ever described a remap as a 'bolt on item you can do yourself' ?
Op - check out the "Type 25 Build Number 20 (2004) thread" and pm any owner there. They'll tell you whether personally it was worth 'the premium'.
And remember, one person's "wouldnt bother paying the premium" could also be the same person's "can't afford to buy one".
Don't let the bolitics of envy stop you seeing for yourself.
A test drive will give you the very best insight, not just an owner, and certainly far more than someone who possibly hasn't even been a passenger in one.
