He was already a public figure. How would you suggest he went about it? Wait until the media find out and have a field day with it or choose when to let it be known. He's been living as a woman for a year already and no one knew, so it's hardly seeking attention is it? As for his surname, why shouldn't he keep it... it's his bloody name after all.
Why do you feel the need to continually pick at people like this like you are back on the school playground, what is it in your psyche that irks you so about people that don't conform to your idea of a sexual norm? It's a recurring theme with you and it's the fact you are not quite sure of yourself would be my guess, but of course you'll strenuously deny that. Not that it is anything to be ashamed of.

Not sure of myself - yep, thats it - better let the wife and kids know
Anyway, back to picking on him/her.
What about having a pee, does he/she still continue to stand like Mrs Doubtfire until D day?
If they enter into a relationship, do they inform the other party of their past, or do they pretend it never happened?

Pontificating
Just about sums your internet persona up in one sentence, classic NPD
Beano reader BTW
And Frank does look very much like the cross dresser from Benidorm

Anyway, back to picking on him/her.
This is my favourite thread ever, apart from F1's input but some things never change.
Frank has always been a cocky little mouthy **** and disliked by most of the boxing public.

Serious question - is there a biological test for Frank/Kelly's condition, and if not, wouldn't it all things considered not have been a more sensible alternative for him/her to get counseling (or whatever other help might be relevant) to feel more comfortable living as the gender he already was?

I have refrained from posting thus far due to the delicate nature of the thread.
I can see both sides of the discussion and was also amused by some of the comments, because I possess a childish sense of humour on such matters, which in my experience does help someone in this situation.
I'm in the live and let live camp, I'm sure there aren't many people that would choose to feel this way, having watched a very close friend battle with his sexuality and society's expected norms for many years, it's not something i'd wish on anyone. I also believe it to be a genuine condition having seen something similar up close and personal, my friend really is a female born into a male body, he is however quite manly due to his social conditioning and desire / battle to try and be what he was born as, so no frocks or operations for him, thankfully as he's not pretty. which is a comment he'd laugh at also.
At the end of the day we are what we are and there's bugger all we can do about it other than try to get through life as best we can, those of us who do not have such afflictions should consider ourselves very lucky indeed, a modicum of compassion wouldn't go a miss either, that said however I do think the ability to have the good old English sick sense of humour does help and shouldn't be frowned upon.

What is that white male privilege, the privilege of being expected to work until your almost dead to support a family? the privilege of an anti male court system and education system? The privilege of dieing young? The privileged of a life so miserable that a ridiculous number of men feel like they should kill themselves?

Women have fought for centuries to have equal rights to men. When you think of other parts of the world where it is common for babies to be aborted because they are not male, to undergo brutal genital mutilation, to not be allowed to work or drive or have uncovered hair in public...
You can see why some women are pi$$ed off with being called trans-phobic if they don't want to share 'safe spaces' with a trans-gendered individual who still has the genitals they were born with.
