Well you've basically stated that a bugeye is out so in reality your looking for a low mileage blob STI that's mint. So your looking for a needle in a haystack with the added problem that dealers are circling above ready to grab and your picky so you can see why everyone thinks your being unrealistic. I give you another 5 months most likely but I'm guessing your getting impatient,me personally looking for 5 months would drive me mad.

I don't get why you all seem to have a bone up your ***** about what he wants, so he starts another thread about not having the car he wants yet, big deal, it's a car forum and he's just having a chin wag as you do, because it's what's on his mind at the moment.

If your sick of him then don't join in, simples.

He's stated time and time again that he won't be dropping his standards and is prepared to wait as long as it takes until he finds the right car, fair play I say, he's obviously OCD about his cars so just let him get on with it.

There is also the flip side that some people are prepared to let their cars go a bit cheaper to someone that they know will look after it in the same manner as they have, maybe he'll get lucky maybe he won't but in the mean time he will be able to save some more cash. or maybe not.

Everyone seems to like to **** on other peoples strawberries these days for some strange reason.

browse through my other threads and you will see that im open to all imprezas but preferably the STi.. why does the fact that ive (only recently) ruled out a Bugeye mean that im looking for a Blobeye? what about all the other sti models ?

correct I am getting impatient but ill look for another 5 months if it means I get what im looking for, and whats wrong with wanting preferences? im spending the money so ill choose what I want to spend it on.

ive said it a few times now, ive done this 2 or 3 times now and ive always got the car ive been looking for so I know that they are out there. that's not being unrealistic as ive proven it already

I'm sure not confused, rather stubborn but when spending 7.5k then has every right to be sticking to his guns. I search for about 5 months for a mint classic type ra with a budget of 3k and eventually found one under budget,a 17 year old car with NO rust and 90k on the clock
You will find your car mate

Fair enough...good luck
All I'm saying is a car is a car and it's hard to find mint cars due to multiple owners who don't always look after them and when they do they go for a premium. Especially classics due to their age now,it's almost impossible to find a mint one.

Mate, just ignore them. They're only trying to get a rise probably as their lives are so empty this is what they do on a Friday night.

You will find a car, but you will just need to keep on looking and be even more patient... not a virtue we always have when looking for motors.

it seems to me that most of the newer members on here just sit and wait for threads like these and then pick their moment to put there 2 pence in.. I remember when I joined the forum back when it was all about the cars, none of this rubbishing peoples threads. if you needed help, help is what you got..general banter obviously but it seems most on here are taking it personally and choosing to become keyboard warriors for something to do.

You've been on long enough to know how it will turn.
Could of just bumped other thread to remind folk that you're still looking. Instead of a related topic.
As it has now turned into this, when you could of just kept quiet and look for a bargain and when it pops up, quickly and quietly make a move before anyone else jumps in.
If your not desperate or eager to find one then bide your time or sort some more dosh out.

I spent 4k over my budget on my last car after waiting for a couple of months I had to bite the bullet but that's because I got impatient by then.

to some a car is more than a car mate, some of us are real enthusiast and wish to keep our cars tip top, granted they are becoming few and far between now but I intend to stand by what im looking for and with my budget to boot.. im fully prepared to wait for it

To be fair doesn't matter if you got £7.5k or £10k at the moment, there are a lot of sheds out there, you just got to go through the pile of **** first before finding a decent one!!!

I sold my hawk sti over 2 months ago, and got money burning a hole in my pocket, but everyday I look on pistonheads/e-bay/autotrader/scoobynet and nothing has really stood out and made me want to view let alone buy.

I'll just carry on driving my VW Golf until a Subaru/Evo comes up that gets me excited, even if its next year im in no rush, but its got to be something very special for me to part with my cash!!!

with all due respect it seems you like to post your daily life events aswell so its a bit pot and kettle for you to say such a remark.

'status dog' for family
looking for car for sister
mum wants a mini
how often to your wife/girlfriend buy shoes and handbags ?

all life related threads as far as I can see..so the fact that I have posted a thread in the 'general' section is no different from yourself..

I don't have the funds to be able to throw a few more thousand into a car like some people that's why I have a set budget, if I had more money then I wouldn't be writing this, ide be able to buy a car right away.

and I have bumped the other threads several times in fact.. this thread was started spur of the moment, all it needed was a light hearted comment in reply such as 'I know how you feel' or chin up one will turn up sooner or later.

Whereas you only have 99 probably because your Mum doesn't let you near a keyboard most of the time and given the quality of your posts on this thread that can only be a good thing!

That said I'm on the edge of my seat for post number 100, will you work extra specially hard and see if it can be a piece of literary genius in the form of something actually interesting and with words of more than two syllables or will it be just another electronic equivalent of a neanderthal's paw print?

Oh and to be fair I'll openly admit I have nothing better to do on a Friday night as I don't drink or fight or watch football therefore the usual weekend activities of most of those in the UK are not available to me therefore I do tend to pop in here from time to time.

That said I'm not one of the ones intent on getting a rise out of the OP for nothing other than a bit of 'sport'. Mind you I'm sure it will soon be time for those involved to head off down to the pub to get hammered and attempt beat up some other idiot who thinks that is the best thing to do with their spare time

Seems like you're taking a bit personal mate, was only offering my opinion.
Actually it was 'wife' want a mini (and now she has one thanks)
But the difference on my threads that you quote, I didn't have to get heated about the replys I was receiving.
I was only merely pointing out that, you've been on here long enough to know how it's going to turn, hence expect the posts and ignore the ones that are being daft

Rarther than searching through my posts/threads for armanition to have a go at me for just giving you a balance.

Anyway I can't be arsed replying anymore if you can't take my blunt replys of advise. Don't have time for debating.

Good luck on your search
