1 had a foot long scuff on rear bumper which was in the advert so I knew about that but nothing else wrong when I asked about the car, so I went to view it lol
1 the guy wasn't in then I got there
2 wheels were the worst condition ive seen for wheels
3 large slice of rubber hanging off the tyre
4 2 or 3 scratches and dents to body work
5 rear tint film on back window was all creased and ruffled
6. front headlights were misted/murky
7 car was unwashed and dirty
8 poor interior
2 car described as immaculate apart from slight crack in front splitter
it was a nice car ill admit apart from the rusted front arch, rust all the way across the front edge of the roof both of which had been painted over which was a poor job, small dent in rear passenger door, car was also parked really close to his garage wall on rear side which said to me it was hiding something, steering wheel was very worn which was worrying to say the car had only done 48000 miles and the slight crack on front bumper was abit more than slight, the bumper was all scuffed above the crack. he did offer to knock a couple hundred off the price due to its condition but I declined. he then messaged me later in the day to say the car had been booked in for the rust to be sorted if I were still interested but if I were he wanted £400 more than what I was going to pay in the first place
both car owners failed to mention all the above when I asked about the cars conditions, which in turn wasted many hours and miles of my time plus petrol money

I'd ask a local member to have a look at sva .
The last time I went half the stock had bits missing that they had robbed to put on cars sold.
It's a right hike to view.
Maybe they have got better over the years

I can't believe this thread is still going......
Out of curiosity (having not read all the comments).
How would you know a 60k engined car that had Genuinely regular oil checks, serviced well and generally well looked after, to a 40k engine car that has "supposedly" had all the above but owned by a 18 year old lottery winner and ragged? I guess you wouldn't?
A car that nears 100k is much cheaper than a lower mileage car as clearly it soon going to be turning the 6 figure odometer which devalues a car straightaway. However if your like me and only cover say 5k a year, then you need not be as **** about it?
Just a thought.
