This one is staying mostly standard...I've made a deal with myself (well OK the Mrs..!) to finsh the wagon before I allowed to go to town on this one. New head unit, speakers, mats, plates, debadge, geo-set up and track wheels don't count right?!

Do I get a prize for suggesting the S2000.

My best mate that had one for a few years has just bought a Z4 cab 2.2 straight 6 I think, he thinks it's better than the S2000 in just about every area, but to be fair he's not much of a driver and more into the pose, so the bimmer suits him better, more boot space, more refined and the lazy straight 6 picks up from nothing for his pootling driving style, only times his Honda had a work out was when I got behind the wheel and scared him sh1tless and myself a little bit too to be fair, but they are really easy to drive close to the limit, I really like them and he had zero problems with it over about 4yrs which means a lot to me.

How are you getting on with it?

Lovely thing to potter around in as it's got bugger all torque but revsfreely so easy to drive. Over 6k an entirely different beast, it's taking sometime to get used to 9k redline...you really do feel like you are holding on fortoo long! Sounds fab, steering is awesome and I love the way it feels when therear end starts to move; kinda feels like the whole thing is turning aroundyour hips. Reacts really well to a 'dab of 'oppo' as the back end steps out butI've been pretty darn gentle so far.

Just cosmetic tidying at present, but it is screaming to have the breathingsorted out so I can hear what’s going on...it's soooo quiet!

Got a Car Limit day on Friday (and a spare set of AP1 wheels) so lookingforward to beating the wife and kids out of it to really fin out how bad mydriving is

Be very careful about induction mods if you in any way value power - most will rob power regardless of the claims. Cone filters that remove the airbox just leave the exposed cone in a hot engine bay making the car lumpy around town. The induction sounded good but I could feel the power loss when driving. In the end I reinstated the airbox and bought a carbon snorkel that feeds the airbox with cold air from outside the engine bay. This made a noticeable difference in the right direction.

If you want noise an exhaust is the way to go. However, again, if you go with a cheap and heavy solution you'll probably lose some power. I went the whole hog with a single exit T1-R, which saved loads of weight and made a little power.

Appreciate the advice, I know you had one of these a whileago...I'll probably go the whole hog and go Carbon AEM/Mugen/Js Racing...willsee what’s around second hand when the time comes. 'Zorst will be the same, although I do like the idea of the UK exhaust mod in the meantime. Want toavoid boomy hello ladies types as this is supposed to be the sensible car
