Arf long time no speak, I bought an interior off you a few years back. just seen your post very sad especially knowing what this kind of HP level takes to achieve. Had a 997 Turbo for 3 years, my sti at the time with a MD321T was a quicker street car. If you want to pay £1100 at Porsche for an oil change to keep the "must have" Porsche history up then its the car for you! Personally Id go and drive an Atom, virtually half the price of a 997 turbo and totally impractical so you won't feel guilty if its in the garage on a rainy weekend! PS I ended up buying Shawys built 2.5, Paul B mapped it at RCM last Friday. Shawys sends his regards, good luck in your future motoring conquest, im sure you will be in another Sccob before long. All the best!

I think the Porsche thing has been with me since I was a kid, maybe if I drove one I might feel a little different towards them.itl be a couple of year before I could afford to buy the one I wanted anyway.not overly keen on the 996 with what they did to the headlights.i went to test drive a discovery3 yesterday, what a shocker.it felt like I was driving the titanic at sea.it was the hse model with all the toys in,but tbh now I have driven one I'm not sure I want one.so I came straight home and started looking for something else.i really want to stay away from the sports cars for a while but I carnt help looking at something that's gunna end up costing me millions again in tuning.

right then.picked the car I want, and I'm jumping on the train early in the morning to go pick it up.just hope its as nice in the flesh as it is in the pictures.i havn't actually even sat in one yet,but I think it ticks most of the boxes,or at least I hope it does.its a hatch back,so I can get are buster in the boot, which was my main priority.its got 5 doors, leather seats so nice and classy.some nice toys like sat nav and stuff for when I go off at the weekends.not too powerfull but just enough for now.but has the potential to be tuned, if I like it and want to keep it for a few years.looks pretty plain but a little sporty,so I wont have boy racers wanting to race me every were I go.so overall a bit of an old mans car but can be made into a wolf in sheeps clothing if need be.i'll get some pics up tomorrow if I make it home up the m25 alive.just keep you guessing till then.

Either of these are on my next car to own list
Saw a lease company doing the brand new MK7 Golf R for £320 a month
This company doing a lease for £369 a month with £1000 deposit
http://www.nationwidevehiclecontract...57041.htm?pl=t
Never bought a car on lease, but guy at work does it and changes his car every 2 years, doesn't really spend on it as it has warranty and sometimes maintenance package included.
Ive always thought about leasing a car, as the money I spend on mods on my cars a year could have me driving something brand new and really nice, only downside is you dont own the car, but I lose out on cars all the time when I sell them anyway.

Not slept a wink all night.am sat on a train in leeds train station at the moment ready to depart for leatherhead.some good guesses on what my new family daily driver will be.i like the skyline one.lol.i wish.was looking at the pics again last night and thinking how plain the car looks.but its goin to be used every day and get parked in car parks.so i would rather people just walk straight past it and not think twice about breaking into it.not llke if i parked the scoob anywere and i was worrying wether my defi's would be ripped out or my wheels would have gone.carnt wait for a lovely comfy drive home and try to get used to the dsg gearbox.
