You get into the auto pretty quickly arf, I was the same in the S-TRONIC audi, but it's a breeze after that, effortless and can even drink a cuppa while driving lol

Dont know a great deal about them mate.i know its a 2.5l turbo.5 cylinder motor which makes around the 335 bhp mark.i do know that a stage 1 remap takes em up to around 400 of each though.

400 of each, mine has about 470lbs as standard but its not the same as the impreza as its so slow on pick up

Maz i think those accel times are little optimistic for a remapped far only. It has 209 bhp per to out of the box so taking it to 400bhp wont add much to that figure so a 0-100 time of 8.45 seconds is a bit of a stretch

Very nice

How are you getting on with the DSG?

I placed an order for a golf r with DSG and all the extras last week, was planning to go for a manual but after a short test drive in a DSG equipped car I was sold.

Go well with a stage 1 arf when boost and timing are tweaked properly for v power.
Launch control was a lot more brutal than i expected from it as well

that's in kmh though steve, not mph.tbh its not a slow car in standered form.it really supprised me.i thought stepping out of the scoob and into this that it would feel really numb, but it don't.you gotta bear in mind that the first remap gives roughly 70bhp and similar torque aswell.so from an already quickish car I would say it will free the car up no end.there were 2 of these at York raceway bank holiday Monday.the white one was pulling 10 second quarters,to hear it on start up it was as quiet as a mouse.but once he launched it up the strip it went like stink.

I have only used it as an auto at the moment mate, not had time to mess with the flappy paddle shift or anything yet.i carnt even work the bloody sat nav yet.i need to sit down and read some manuals to get used to things I think.

so I hear tim,it'l have to stay standered for now though, just till I get sorted with the house.then its play time.

Am gunna get stage 1 done just for the fact that its only £700.that will take it to around 400 which should be enough to keep up with most cars that are knocking around.then if i round up all the parts i need i might as well go for 500 next and i think thats were itl stay.im not going to go down the same route with this as i did with the scoob cos it just takes over and never stops.im getting on a bit now so comfort means more than speed.
