I got my prodrive wide track STI when I was 20 and paid £1400 insurance for it, it just depends on your car history, ncb and location...

My insurance halved when i moved out of London.

Cheap insurance is the only good thing i've found about getting old.
On saying that i'd much rather be young, pay £1400 and not have the aching bones when i get out of bed every morning.

I'm 28 and paying 680 fully comp on a 97 import wrx and had to claim last year, my excess is 650 now iirc

Less than £600 a year for my Cosworth and just a little more for the S202.
I've insured cars in Birmingham, Blackpool and Manchester and the majority of quotes I've had have been outrageous there. Only in Warwick and Preston have I had decent quotes.
The OP obviously has a very contrived set of favourable circumstances going for him, that is insurance for you. Hope you enjoy your car mate!
