I'd probably keep one of the several listed Scoobs that do 0-60 in 4.3 seconds stock. That would be until a local lad kept smoking me in something a little quicker.

My mate has an E92 (whatever that means) M3, and he certainly didn't buy it for the badge, one of his former cars was a Mk IV Supra that he ploughed about £50K into.

His M3 is for sale actually, get it bought Al.

Woah hang on a second. You think for 1 minute that an impreza could actually keep up with an R1?? As in Yamaha R1 bike?? You honestly have to be joking right? You're talking 3s or sub 3s 0-60 performance with an R1 and hitting almost 100 in 2nd gear!

Same here, although I didn't sell my impreza I just stuck it in the garage on the note of doing all the little jobs on it. Got bored of the golf after 3 months and got the subaru back out.

I wont get bored of the golf as I dont see it as my pride and joy, more of a just drive it everyday car, that I park anywhere and dont care about car park dinks, and I dont think ive washed it since I bought it 3 months ago or checked the oil.

Give us some money then Micky lol.

I can imagine there are some true petrol heads with M3's, I just don't think I could own one and start pulling out on people and forgetting to indicate.

Why? I'm not the one that makes threats of physical assault and then claims I am joking when I get called for it? Seems like that is more the trait of the kid bullied at school or maybe the bully himself? Ring any bells?

No bells actually, and unlike you I attended a boys' school. Fortunately for you I don't assault girls or threaten to, not even those like you that feel free to insult other forum members at every opportunity. Best stay behind the bike sheds though.

Oh no, looks like Mr Haughty's been caught in a pincer movement.

Spell something incorrectly - Mr Haughty will correct you.
Drive a Subaru - Mr 'I've got an AMG' Haughty will frown upon you.
Give him what for on SN - Mr Haughty runs to the schoolyard supervisor(s) saying "please Miss, so-and-so has been nasty to me".

Clever, thought ye, naughty Haughty.

But 'clever' is relative.
To a frog a monkey is clever, to a monkey humans are clever.

Mr Haughty will no doubt be back in his intellectual pond with Winter coming on.
