And they are great cars banny, I will always love them, well the older ones anyway. However, there is always someone with something faster, better handling, quicker on a track, faster A to B etc. so it's best to just be realistic about things. Enjoy any car for what it is, but don't dismiss other cars and bikes as half the fun is seeing what else is out there.

Exactly always someone always has better, as long as you're happy with what you have and how it makes you feel who cares. 100% agree there is some great cars/bikes (I'm too chicken for bikes ) that while not having the appeal of a subaru are really fun to drive, prime example for me recently has been a clio 172 sport what a car!

Banny - please close the door on your way out, and wash your mouth out with Methanol.

Precisely, it's great to drive something different every now and then, I guess that is what makes us petrolheads.

I don't rate myself as a great driver on track, I just go to have some fun and blow the cobwebs out, but I can't keep up with these bu99ers, and my scoob has plenty of ooomph when I need it. They are so quick through corners.
Hate the bloody things!

On track the thing between the seat and the controls is far more relevant than what's between the controls and the tarmac.

So assuming two drivers of said example cars have equal skill, which one would your money be on?

There are so many caveats here, but all things being equal (which is probably a joke statement in itself) I'd have to put my money on a Subaru.
