Sounds a good area but a 60 mile trip

Still ended up having fun, but not as much fun as being able to use all the power of the car, Donnington is even worse!

So now i have changed the system totally for the Cobra de-cat track day system and fitted a H&S downpipe. Now its a huge improvement on the sound, still loud but the tone has changed which helps on how far the sound travels when there is active noise monitoring. Car now easily passes static tests and can be used to the full.

Best bit of all the cobra system with the H&S downpipe was only £610 all in!
Build and finish quality is leagues ahead of the Miltek.

Book Snetterton up as the limits are much higher there and you'll have a great day, plus its a much better surface then Bedford. Which has loads of loose stones, so be prepared for some stone chips there!

Mel
Mel after that I don't feel any confident. Defo going to cancel it now...

I think the bung wont help much either. I got 272 cams which breath hard on idle & certainly wouldn't like a stone chips as my car is immaculate

This seems a grey area with my package

Mel, did you go to a slash cut from a round opening? I wonder if that makes a difference.

KAS - the bungs really do hinder performance and for me the whole point of the track day is to explorer our cars performance in a controlled manner. So even though Bedford is a great track i would rather go places like Silverstone / Snetts simply for the fact i can use the car properly.

Murray - No went for the 4" round opening http://www.cobrasport.com/index.php/...stem-1394.html

Scooby87 - yes the loose stones were a real disappointment for me when i got out on track.

I've been to Bedford 4 or 5 times now on differnt track configurations. Never yet had issues with stones unless somebody has had a major off.
I have also run a bung and I would say it spoils anything.

Well today i decided to put the bung in, I got a reading of 85DB @ 5k revs. So well with in the limits, however yet to do a drive by but i need a open area with less cars/noise every where.

May stuff some wire wool in lol

Really do want to do it deep down inside...

A mate did Bedford on Monday and said it was horrible in the corners due to the weather. They still had a good time though, there was some interesting cars on track looking at his vids.

He was in the crystal grey widetrack and his mate was in the red evo 7 (I think).

Did you see the Evo spin on the sighting lap?

I'll try and find his YouTube link.

That's my mates car, not mine.

It's decatted with a Prodrive backbox. Normally has an Afterburner raptor on it but swapped for the track day.

They don't give you measurements on the drive by sensors Kas - just black flags

Didn't see this, but the first time I was at Bedford in the rain an Evo span on his first out lap. They sent a tow car to pull him out of the ditch and found he had bald tyres on. Not track tyres - baldies
He got sent home

The video is of my car, A few did pass me as and i really struggled to keep up with some other cars, there was a fiat abarth 500 in red and he really knew how to drive the car, i could only pass him on the long straight. In the corners i had no idea where he was getting his grip from as i had little to none.

It was a fun day till i span! and then got blacked flag as the undertray was dragging along the floor.

Then the next laps i lost my bottle as i thought the car was going to lose control on every corner. thankfully that was near the end of the day.

Bedford in the dry is amazing track, though you will need 4 new tires. Looking to go again on the 10th of november as its only £99. Just praying for a dry track.

video of my mate spinning on the warm up lap PMSL

The rain wasn't as heavy Brooksie, but it lasted most of the day. At one point there was a small pond on the turn before the pit entry, but no rivers like we had the last time out in the wet.
