Last of the blobs and on a 56 plate sounds a keeper
Standard even with a PPP isn't gonna feel that good like you say the lag once it gets a remap it will be a he'll of a lot better
I know all about Hondas used to have a rotrex supercharged dc5 swapped it for my first blob sti
Ran that to 470 then broke that and got my 2.5 hawk sti
A lot of engine failure with the 2.5 but touch wood mines going well
The sound is a bit different but that's because of the equal length headers but with a vf36 or 37 your torque will nearly match your bhp
Which on a UK STI won't happen
Steve

Yeah it was one of the last blobs but unfortunately was silver on 60k and I'm hoping for a WR blue one with no more than 40k!
I was surprised to see it has IC water spray as I thought this was only on the Jap models
Twin scroll does appeal but I think I absolutely must own a Scooby with that traditional scooby rumble first damn those headers

Weren't they limited to 260?
Reason why I went for the rotrex I had launch control too and the v etc lowered too with the k pro was a good car but nothing compared to the scoob
I wouldn't worry about mileage if it's got its fsh and doesn't show signs of wear it would be a worthwhile buy
I bought mine with 36000 and have done 2500 in a year and half lol
Every newage has the ic spray only need to use it when it flashes on the dash
Some came with an auto version but dunno if that was any newage imprezas
That'd true try them both out jap and UK also try the 2.5 as you might be surprised

Yeah definitely want to try a 2.5 as I do prefer the hawk looks apart from those hideous rear lights and that roof spoiler but I'll swap the lights for blob units and just have to learn to love the top spoiler I guess
I don't think I want to try out a Jap one in case I like it too much then I'll be torn between the twin scroll with no rumble and a single scroll with that devilish sound I crave so much

So I went and picked up my first Scoob on Wednesday evening! It's a 2007 UK Hawkeye in WR blue. 13,000 on the clock
Here's a few pics after I cleaned it today
A little 'before & after' of the engine bay after removing some tacky stickers and blue hosing...
Also fitted a smaller front plate...
It had an awful rear graphic across the roof vain which I could not wait to remove
Fitted a fresh plate to the rear although I'm thinking about a 13" x 9" plate now as well as some LED plate lights just to keep it fresh
Next few additions will be blob tail lights, black STi flaps to replace the blue ones and then possibly a double din head unit and some updated speakers... I'm used to the amazing sounds of Bose from previous Audi's
I'm also considering having the Zunsport grilles powder coated black so they don't stand out so much and also some DIY mods on the headlights to paint the internals anthracite and possibly refurb the Subaru badges as I really like the pink ones but I can't find anywhere to source an original 'I' badge in pink #GAAAYYYYYY
Anyway opinions welcome and I will start a build thread soon for some more detailed pics/specs

I kinda like the vortex generator... It's CF too so looks tidy, plus it's bonded on so would be a pig to remove! Agree about the mesh grilled I'm thinking of having them powder coated gloss black to blend in more. The small plate and splitter though... They're awesome

Nice tidy car that. Not keen on the vortex jobbie but the grills look ok to me in silver, not sure black powder coating would suit the blue probably look a bit euro box and get some stone chips too.
I'd book it in to have it forged just for peace of mind if you plan on modding it and driving hard, much cheaper doing it before it lets go.
