They dive from lane 3 across the front of one wagon in lane 2 and then right behind another wagon in lane 1 so close she can't see up the slip road and you say its not been left to the last minute

I can (sort of) see your point but they were diving from lane 3 after the slip road has started! It was 8 seconds after the wagon has passed the start of the slip exit (which equates to approx just over 200m if travelling at 56mph ) before they came into shot and started to cut across. It was impatience, no two ways about it! They should have been behind the wagon filming to exit safely imho!

*edit to add* - the two wagons look to be a safe distance apart, stick a car in-between and that distance (between the wagon filming and the now suddenly appeared car) is no longer safe! I feel for the wagon driver who hit the focus, can't imagine what was going through their head at the point of impact and after!

A good driver will expect the unexpected, this driver didn't do that and made a assumption which is a big no no on the roads

That said they hardly deserved such a huge lessons for what was a moment of unfortunate action. To be fair all drivers at some point in their driving lifetime will make a bad call of judgement comparable to this but thankfully for the most part will get away it.

Have read in previous posts that no one was killed but was a bit unnerving to see childrens lunch boxs being launched down the road, I hope there was no kids in the car.

Thing is the world has countless drivers that have near misses, or just light prangs in town and car parks and learn nothing from it.

All of us only learn properly the consequence of our own driving ability/awareness when we are personally involved in a "biggy". Be it our fault or not. Avoidance being a key point...A futile point I try to get across to cyclists who do have right of way, but will end up being squashed for not thinking ahead and taking some self-preservation along with it.

I'm just fresh back from Bolton....M6 Southbound chock-a-block, Lane three full of cretins tailgaiting, panic braking, bunching up, and accelerating too hard when they think traffic has cleared only to have to brake hard again 300yards later. 30mph, 70mph, 30mph, 80mph, 20mph.... **** that...Lane one, cruise control on 45mph....no stress no worries and leave the idiots in Lane 3 to smash into each other. One of the things I have to worry about is a dozing HGV...but again, slow down well enough in advance and leave loads of space in front, you'll see them hurtling up behind you and get out of the situation before it happens. I've been rear ended hard once whilst stationary waiting to turn right, I saw it coming, but couldn't pull away quick enough to prevent/avoid it. I've always been a bit more prepared for stuff like that these days.

This type of manoeuvre happens all the time except this time as I have already stated it was driver error. Probably looking at sat nav telling them to cut over?
No matter how many times you add British queuing logic to this crash it isn't and it was just unfortunate driver error!

A driver has survived a huge collision with a lorry she was overtaking on a Belgian motorway.

Dashcam footage shows the moment Jasmien Claeys drives her car across two lanes and collides with a stationary lorry on the slip road. Her car is then forced into the dashcam lorry driver's path behind.

According to HLN.BE, Ms Claeys, 25, has since made a promising recovery after falling into a coma with two broken vertebrae and a shattered hand.

After watching the footage "several times", Ms Claeys said she is "excessively happy" to have survived and is now on her way to full recovery.

The footage was captured on August 13 but has only recently surfaced online.

She's an idiot and should be prosecuted for dangerous driving. Going from the 3rd lane cutting up trucks as well as the car in the 2nd lane to pull in to a slip road is beyond stupid. Sheer luck that she never caused a very major incident involving several more vehicles, god only knows what carnage it caused further back.

Sad thing for me is watching what looks like a young girls pink bag barreling down the road in front of the truck after the crash, how anyone can be so irresponsible is beyond me.

I haven't.

Even when the motorway is clear after overtaking 2 slow moving side by side trucks I'll wait a few seconds before switching each lane.

My dad was a driving instructor for years so I kinda didn't want him getting a bad rep driving cruddy.

Before I started driving abroad was warned to watch out for Belgium drivers,to be quite honest,I think is just as much stupidity in the UK.
Quite a few exits in Belgium to be cautious about,it gets really built up with traffic especially around Gent and Brussels.
Try doing the Brussels ring road at 4pm,absolute crazy on the entry and exits, lane changes.
