'i'll plug it', sounds like the lad belongs in the VW delete everything fraternity, moronic!

At the end of the day chaps, it does a job, it was designed for a reason.

The Spec C dosen't come with many nice things, personally I like to be able to see out of my rear screen when its raining or dusty. Hells whats visibility eh? So over-rated, may as well just paint the back window black.

As for our resident troll, anyone get the feeling he was the kid at school that smelled and no one liked, so he caused trouble to get attention? I can just picture him now..his wife probably even hates him

what does the spec c wr limited have deleted other than the rear wiper??
i know a couple of people that have one and they have a/c and all the other extras.
i know it has slightly different bodywork like no skirts, big spoiler and bumper spats, but the only thing missing equipment wise is the rear wiper.

I thought you got over your trolling? Don't end up like Xline, its a lonely life from what I can tell.

Its funny how much time people spend being upset with a rear wiper.

I have a rear wiper and its great, I can see out of my screen, and it washes it for me like a afganny traffic light stop washer boy whenever I want all at the touch of a button! Happy days.

I see the JDM envy just gets more and more everyday!

But you don't have a JDM do you?

That right there, is the JDM envy.

im not trolling at all read the previous posts in the thread by me, genuine questions.

as said earlier in my opinion the wiper looks very out of place on a newage and its not really needed either.

its just a different car, some will like it others not so much. ive driven a few and they feel near enough identical but the stalks being on opposite sides caught me out a few times.

as for lag thats caused by being in the wrong gear and down to driver skill, but that said the vf35 isnt really a great turbo

Using phrases like the 'proper JDM models', thats trolling dude.

There are different JDM models, of course, and the majority of JDM models, and the ones most sold had a rear wiper.End of.

As for the cars, there is a distinct difference, but you don't own a JDM, and that right there is the problem.

i dont because i dont want one, if i did id not bother with the sti either.
its personal opinion which you cant seem to grasp.

they are good cars but not for everyone. in my opinion the uk widetrack is a better car than the jdm narrow track and for a similar price too.

you mean a better 'centre console'?

better suspension? Exactly the same so I am told.

No rear wiper - fail in a wet country

Ill grant you the updated wheel bearing issue as plausible as I have not heard about that.

Advantages

Twinscroll
stronger engine, higher redline, earlier torque, less lag
Backlit clocks
Quick steering rack
Xenon headlights
the list just goes on and on.

Its a better car, simples, but whatever, I think judging by your history on here proves you will never be proved wrong, even when you are, so lets just leave it at that and go and have our tea

the issue is you cant accept other peoples opinion if they are different.
its just a different car made for a different market.
ill also add in the longer 5th and 6th gear are better suited to an everyday road car.
stronger engine is an unproved point newage sti lump is fine to 450 bhp which 99% never get anywhere near.
twinscroll turbo being an advantage depends on what you want, a lot of owners love the burble which twin scroll cars lack.
i must admit i love the red clocks, so much so i bought a hawkeye unit which is the same and plugged it straight in.
the sweep is lovely on start up too.

Of course I can, but when there is a clear wrong, then I have to point it out. But I guess you may also argue that Hitler had the right idea as well? Some may say he did....but he was wrong.

'love the burble' My burbles just beautifully thankyouverymuch

and yes the Defi style clocks are excellent...but I got them as standard, didnt have to buy them seperately out of another car

im trying to have a proper discussion but you keep reverting back to silly comments just like xline

the jdm sti is not all that special just different, the spec c, ra etc are a much improved performance model though.

as for the clocks, yes you had them and they are great but also have a rear wiper which i wouldnt want so its easier to fit plug in clocks than fot a new rear window.

id rather have a narrow track jdm than a narrow track uk car, but the widetrack uk sti is a better car than the narrow track jdm car due to the reasons i mentioned above.

this is of course personal opinion and like it or not most subaru owners love the burble of the car as it adds to the overall experience.

as for the clocks, yes you had them and i agree they are great but its no hard job to fit them unlike trying to get rid of a rear wiper.

I think Xline is his own silly entity. I wouldnt refer to anyone being similar to him.

The things you have listed dont make it a better car, you may prefer those elements which is why you chose poverty spec, but the advantages a JDM have do make it the better car for the reasons I mentioned above (and many i didnt bother 'cause im a bit bore).

Xenon lights and a rear wiper make it better on its own! You dont even need all the other ace stuff.

See, you are flipping yourself up.

The Spec C you so rightly praise, is more akin to the standard JDM than any UK car, especially in terms of engine...which are the things I mentioned.

So in a sense, you just answered your own argument.

Job done.

Wide track Jdm Sti get's more torque than previous year Jdm sti .Uk sti torque figure never increased.
Wide track Jdm Sti get 235/45/17 tyres against 225 for uk Sti
Wide track Jdm Sti has a different style tmic over previous years and same for uk Sti .
Wide track Jdm Sti is lighter than uk Sti.
Wide track Jdm Sti more BHP and Torque out the box than a uk sti wide track ppp .
I like the stealth noise of the twin scroll and has the same aggressive shove in the back as a classic .
The spec c engine is the same as wide track Jdm Sti engine same block and internals, cylinder heads and camshafts and valve train

ill run through the differences from my opinion.

twin scroll turbo...more linear power delivery but no burble so not for me.
stronger engine...not true and next to nobody pushes either uk or jdm to near its 450 bhp limit so invalid.
rear wiper....looks crap and most dont like it.
red clocks...agree much better
higher rev limit....pointless as peak power is much lower than redline
xenon lights...nice upgrade
low ratio 5th and 6th....longer ratio 5th anf 6th are much better suited to uk roads and everyday use.

so the extra premium jdm cars seem to command makes the uk widetrack a better option to me.

I dont even have the desire to comment on some of these, but I think most have already seen the winning car already. As i said, you like your poverty spec machine, strangely as you praise the spec C, so my car, being closer to a spec C than a uk car, is nearer your holy grail, I think you are just confused Danny boy.

'Lets get rid of a much better turbo and engine but gain a burble' - you sound like you belong on Subaru Swap Shop dude!

Widetrack JDM of course better, and yup at the time, widetrack JDMs where out of my price range. But I didnt resort for a poverty spec car, I got the next best thing, a standard track JDM.

JDM hawk is far superior then the UK hawk, but JDM blob and Uk blob really depends on personal choice, I wouldnt be upset if you gave me either if I had to choose, but same choice with the hawk i dont think I would entertain a UK hawk again!!

I do like the twin scroll, but my only concern in when the headers split(2 JDM's i know of this) and trying to get a replacement set is big £££, same goes for turbos, you break a twin scroll turbo even used you are looking big £££ and aftermarket turbo's there really is not a lot of choice out there unless you want to part with £1k+ for a Scoobyclinic version, same goes for exhausts there usually a lot more expensive then the UK models, I find you have to pay for that JDM privileged, and parts are a lot more expensive even standard parts!!

I didn't know any info about differences between the Newage JDM WRX and Newage UK WRX.

TBH I still don't.
