It may well be, I didn't have anything to work off at the time. It'll be easy to modify if it won't fit though. Hopefully it will!

Anyone got a converted TD05 sitting around to compare with? I did think at the time it was too long, but better looking at it rather than for it.

I need a company to do mine, not that skilled in welding. I don't know why someone doesn't buy them and convert them to front entry must be some money in it.

I know, seen those before. The guy I saw on eBay was using old genuine units and doing what I did, then trying to punt them for crazy money. I've bought, converted, and rebuilt mine with new bearings and seals for a total of about £90/£100 if I remember right.

There Chinese rubbish mate, unbranded i think.

With as turbo i wouldn't skimp on cheap rubbish, when it packs in could end up taking your engine out with it.

Yep. No probs at all.
I've had several Chinese turbos on several cars, for thousands of miles over the years. Not had any problems yet.
What experience does everyone else have? I'd like to hear

I have no experience and I'd buy a Chinese turbo in a heartbeat. Only reason I didn't was because I got this one cheap and just fancied the challenge of converting and rebuilding it. I have however got experience of fitting two Chinese CHRAs to two of my mates cars, just over one year on and they're both running perfectly. I'm with boosted on this one

Not really, the quality has been consistent in my experience.
Most "branded" turbos or parts of said turbos are made in the same factories/ production lines in china. People need to wake up to the biggest growing industrial country in the world!

There was a guy on ebay selling machined front entry housings for TD05's. That's where I bought mine from. Really nicely done too, the inner part of the intake is machined smooth to give the best airflow.

Next it will be diaper, bunch, headers, movies. Would just like to nip it in the bud now before it gets out of hand.

I've been fighting this battle for a while bud, the amount of people on this site that use American terms. The problem is they get all there info off google and not there own knowledge.
