This is an awesome car. I hate classics with a passion, and think that every single one of them is a complete bag of stinking old sh1te. Even the ones with the rally heritage because I simply couldn't give a **** and really couldn't care less. This one, however, I really like because it's outrageously quirky and unlike any other. It's the ONLY classic I'd ever consider buying.

Ah ok, that changes things completely - I can see how you get to that valuation
A bit like the Tickford Capri
The factory stamp - means a lot, especially to a collector

Please tell me you're on the wind up?. For a start you're having to explain to an enthusiasts forum why such a car is even remotely desirable. Secondly it's possibly the worst designed Impreza even overshadowing the blob in the hideous stakes. An enthusiast will go for an RA, p1, type r, spec c or any of the other s20 models over this. I'd wager a 4 door WRX will be worth more than these in future as nobody is salvaging them and it sums up an era better than this Domonic Toretto wannabe heap. Lastly though throw £15k at an RA and you've got yourself a much quicker car which will be worth £15k in years to come. Throw £15k at this and the majority will not touch it with a barge pole in 10 years, only a very very select few would even consider buying it but I'd imagine would also 'want it but don't have the money'.
£15k is a lot of money, I doubt it will sell for £5k.

Site of enthusiasts..... now you're on the wind up surely... This site isn't filled with enthusiasts, 99% of the users on here only own an impreza because they cost bugger all, go pretty well and sound half decent. Most wouldn't even know what an S201 was until seeing a thread like this.
And where did I say it was desirable ?? Very few understand what this car is all about so the amount of people who find it desirable is tiny.
Worst designed ??? Please explain that comment because from a drivers perspective it was the best designed infact. Good design doesn't always mean pretty remember.
And then the comment about throwing money at another model making it faster, you're so far off the point it's funny.

Well fûck me!!!!!
I've owned 2 imprezas a 2007 forged hawk & jdm Classic
And I saw this add thought someone was taking the pîss with the kit only to learn its stock. And wow my views are changed. Matty I'm with you on this, Even if it's butt ugly!!
In 2000, STI released the WRX STI "S201", of which 300 were produced. This series is a limited production series that sports an engine output of 224 kW (305 PS) as special variants were excluded from the gentlemen's agreement. The car was decked with nearly every single part from the STI catalogue. The S201 was a sedan that sported the only body-kitted S-series WRX STI. Weighing in at 1,270 kg (2,800 lb), the S201 had a tri-planar wing and a massive front airsplitter. The entire suspension was composed of STI parts.

you haven't really got a clue about subaru's have you? since when was the blob classed as ugly?
it is a very collectible model, I think it looks horrible (like I said in my post), but it will only go up in value.

I understand that due it it being a factory produced model, it holds a certain value to true enthusiasts. But saying that everyone owns imprezas because they are cheap rather than being 'purists' of the brand is a little silly, as the whole point of the Impreza was that it was a Ferrari beating car for Mondeo money.
Spending £15k on a 15 year old classic , unless it's a 22b, takes away from the whole idea from idea of Impreza ownership.
This brand is not about, 'I've got more money than you!'
A classic ra or type r is what a true classic is all about.

Do you often race Ferraris?

Worst designed in not remotely aerodynamic and I bet it had 0 hours in a wind tunnel. Just a load of bolt on tat that was quickly dropped. Of course I'm up for being proven wrong, so feel free to show me any facts to back
Up how this exterior design is remotely functional. And yes, a tiny amount desire this car, the majority of Subaru owners think it's diabolical looking. That tiny amount will get smaller. Again feel free to show me how the £15k price tag is reasonable by showing some examples such as sales prices of some others sold in the past.

Stop trolling. It's getting boring now.
It was the point that a 17k car when new could keep up with much pricier cars on the twisty stuff. Basically, a performance car that your nan could drive.

Some cars pull off "ugly" very well, for instance sport quattro or s4 delta. However this is just a complete turd to look at no matter what angle take. The MO's do a little to help though, although that would be true with any car. I am a ****e driver anyway, I never even get to 6/10ths never mind 10 so I doubt I would appreciate or notice the spec list when pushing on.
But I know why people appreciate this car, I would guess collectors and those who are in the know about Impreza's, and of course those who can drive. I know my limits, I am just here for the rumble, but would certainly not disrespect anyone for buying one of these.

With at atitude like that hopefully you will be going back to your homework shorty when your parents catch you trolling the Internet again instead of doing something useful in life

But yeah exactly like the Tickford Capri, you don't see many of those these days, I saw a lime ish green one many moons ago, they were a thing to be desired back in the early 80's.
See your Tickford and raise you a Metro 6R4.
Also has some light reading for those that don't understand the concept of drag.

Anyone notice any similarities.

Its the little details on the S201 that make it a special car, from the standard Rays wheels, and titanium exhaust to the pink suspension bits underneath. Until you actually have a look at one up close and personal you will never really understand the S201.
