I'm looking forward to seeing how the T36 performs on my Hatchback STi when it's run in the fully forged CDB 2.5 engine, the dyno plot graphs look great and the T36 should make for a very fast road car.

Sounds like it could be nice on my Blobeye, keep it stealth like with the TMIC, should make good power hmmmmm

Up Pipe?
Simlar spec to what I'm going for, I'll see how my gt30 performs, if not happy could always have this as an option.

Standard GT spec up pipe, may be even better spool again on the Harvey tapered up pipe.

Thats almost identical to what i'll be running.

V7 sti block with v5 sti heads, alcatek, 740s, fmic, pump, 3" exhaust.

I bought the gt3071 as it was stock location and cheap but I'm now wondering which direction I should go turbo wise if the repair costs are as high as quoted. 400+ is the aim.

I would go with what Martyn says as for the money is looks like a cracking option, one map on v power and one on v power plus 20% meth for weekends. 445bhp on v power could mean close to 500 on 20% meth

I'll be looking out for updates from you on this, the T36 is looking like an ideal choice for my forged hatch as well. I've previously only been interested in the offerings from SC and lateral.

I have a cosworth short engine, cosworth head gasket, cosworth head stud kit, cosworth oil pump, baffled sump, cosworth induction kit, H&S exhaust. All the rest is standard sti.

Now the block isn't pinned or CDB so I'm never going for records here, but what else am I going to require? Injectors? FMIC? ( obviously remap as well), anything else?

Cheers

3inch exhaust system, fuel pump, fuel reg, induction kit possably an aftermarket ecu. uprated brakes and suspenion would be advisable too

I'd take a very good look at the Grimmspeed topmount as we've had good results on that in the past. It'll mean getting one from the states but it's worth the hassle.
I'd go for 750cc ASNU injectors and a Deastchwerks 300lph fuel pump for the fueling side of things. A set of GT spec headers would be ideal and an Ecutek racerom remap will take care of the management.

This is a billeted T on a Grimmspeed TMIC, I run W/M Injection which clouds any comparison but an exellent choice for anyone wanting to stick with the top mount.
Forged 2.5 with WRX heads

Martyn, do TT/ET intend on developing a twin scroll version of the T36?

(I think you've already answered this in another thread, but can't remember )

Braveheart racing developements can rebuild a ballbearing core for a lot less, he rebuilds the bearings by hand using ceramic *****, he rebuilt my gt3076r, fitted new turbine wheel and shaft, new latest design billet compressor and balanced for around £350 all in.

Also be aware that these turbo's are supposed to have play as they lose it when its pressurised with oil, as long as the wheels dont touch the housings its probably fine.

If you remove the housings and check for any signs of touching and its all fine get it fitted, providing you have the correct oil feed and restrictor that is

Go on then busta, whats the price? I'll have mine in my hands in a couple of days so will inspect condition but would be curious to know what a useable one is worth.

Thumbs up

I've got a t36 on my forged 2.5 built at engine tuner
Nearly 440lb ft by 3700rpm on the standard top mount at the moment and it's fun..... Not sure if to have the grim speed top mount or perrin front mount next?
But I'll be off to engine tuner either way...

My Braveheart 20G which took 7 months to show up is getting fitted this/next week. For what it's worth, I had the turbo visually checked out by AET and they said it looks fine and everything is within tolerance. Will report back after it's been fitted, mapped etc.

Agreed I know dozens of people using his turbos without issue.
The guy that had 3 failures doesn't seem to have listened about the oil feed pipe being blocked.
As for time keeping........ no comment

Well i had no idea about the problems people were having in that other thread.

As said above though, i judge him on the experience i had with him which was very good, he had my turbo for about a week then it came in the post when he said it would.
