The Nankangs mentioned are excellent tyres, just ignorance towards the brandname stops them selling larger quantities IMO.

I'm going to try the RE070's next, as I'm stepping down to 17's. I'll never push them hard, as that's what my R888's are for on my track wheels

Heres a thread about the Nankangs with feed back from people that have used them.

Exactly, it works both ways, Pirelli could make a tyre 225/45/17 at £300 a corner tyre doesn't make it the best tyre money can buy. It's just brand snobbery. 5-10 years ago most of us would have touched Hankook or Verdasten, and now people rate them as good as the premium brands.

Well they're mainly being used for track work on that thread posted above.
A quick look on camskill shows them as having wet grip rating of C, so I'll leave you all to them.

I am not so sure I would trust that rating system. After all Ultrac Sesantas are listed as wet grip rating c, while linglongs in the same size are rated wet grip b, and we all know which ones out of those two are the better tyre.

I've got a set of bridgestone s001's on my spec c, they seem to be good enough.
Goodyear eagle f1 a2's are very good to.

What are are you FFS.
I've no intention of trying them you tool.

I'd be sure I've gone through more sets of tyres than yourself over the years.
As a result, experience then says which ones have worked for me, as well as knowing which one I'm not going to entertain, and which one to avoid.
