Not sure fun is the right word, maybe exciting if I'm kind but was looking at a Rwd Sierra cosworth today. It reminded me of my dads that he used to throw me the keys to every day when he got home from work
****ing horrible at going round corners and ended up facing the wrong way on a mini roundabout twice but would love to get back in one one day.

The reason I loved XR2's is they were cheap and easy to sort and my cousin was a ford mechanic, so I'd do the simple stuff and bung him a couple of hundred quid to do the valves and a few other little tweaks and they'd handle and go like the clappers, punched well above their weight and never let me down, I had 4 of them and always made a bit too when I sold them on, fond memories.
205's and my personal fave the 309 gti were great when running properly but had a few issues that weren't cheap to fix.
The xr2 was good to throw about but I had a 1.3 litre mk2 astra that was a little faster in a straight line. Even though that car ended up with a hole in the block i could nearly put my hand in lol

Yes no problems in a lot of ways the rs is better than the Scooby but I love the flat four engine and I sold my last Scooby to early and I have always liked the look of the hawks so I bought a show car that was on here for sale back along as my toy and a c3 diesel as the roundabout make no mistake the rs is a fantastic bit of kit and if I was richer I woold have both cars my wife also loved the rs over all others drive a de5 then take out the rs leagues apart mate

No way would a 1.3 Astra be quicker than any of my XR2's, me and a few mates coming back from a rave up north one very early am, Ford Probe, Toyota MR2, 309 GTi and me in one of my quickest ones, guess which car pulled out in front and stayed there, even had to ask the lads if they were still trying at 130mph and all of them to my amazement said yep just ran out of legs.

2005 Audi A2 TDI, looks a bugger but 80-90 rural mpg after a remap and a sub 10sec 0-60.
110bhp from a 1.4l 3 pot diesel!
Not sure if his mates are laughing with him or at him but it sounds well.

If it had carbs ie.webbers then it probably did shift well!
My friend had a 1.1 mk3 and had carbs fitted and he said it was so much faster than standard

Just test drove a 2.0 gt scirocco. Not too happy with the traction! If it weren't spinning, then the traction was kicking in,even rolling in 2nd and a bit of a spin in 3rd. It had good power but that grip and traction control would need sorting!
