well why dont you fit 1 pot brakes and remove all the sti bits from your car then mat??

in my opinion its a haf arsed effort of a drag car. whats the point of removing lots of weight then leaving on heavy bits like an sti spoiler?

not to make the car look like an sti surely

matts the only one who cares about 1/4 mile times, i keep stating my 12.8 with 260 bhp but he either ignores it or makes up my bhp to suit his wrx trolling.

My car isn't fast (for a 330bhp WRX) or well modded by any stretch of the imagination. It's low on compression and runs budget tyres. I've even professed many times in being a very mediocre driver, most of the SN crowd ridicule my launches. The car isn't just laggy, Scooby Clinic said for whatever reason my Turbo is lazy and comes in a lot later than it should do. Low compression?

All that said I'll still beat any similar powered STI's by a whole second down the strip.

Ergo as the power levels increase in both the more power an STI needs to keep up with the WRX.

Example 1: an STI will need around 360bhp to keep up with a 300bhp WRX
Example 2: An STI will need around 430bhp to keep up with a 360bhp WRX

Power levels beyond these are expensive for both and the cars will no longer be real world performers. Both will need forging and a strong 5 speed gearbox for both will be a good argument for chasing times.
If both had the same 5spd from factory, then i would expect the sti to be quicker, considering the avcs and extra revs you could get from each gear (sti revs more doesn't it? )

My STI V WRX findings are not based on the fact I ran 12.6 with 330bhp and fat-thomas ran 12.8 with 430bhp.

Initially fat-thomas denied running a 12.8, saying he never got his timeslip (due to having a passenger, what ever that means)

I dug up quotes saying that he did 12.8 in June 2012 and a quote in 2013 with him saying "a Newage needs 400bhp to get into the 12's."

His mate then came on here recently confirming that his car indeed was 430bhp and furthering that he gave his WRX Bugeye to his partner Emma, which is also true.

fat-thomas is one of those guests on Jeremy Kyle who claims his wife's lie detector results are right and his are wrong.

ive never ever ever owned a wrx bugeye . emma bought the car sometime before we even met.
fawor is not a mate of mine, never met him

sad fact is you know the car ran a 12.8 as you were there and its only got standard sti power

here it is look 100% standard and as you and fawor both know i bought it pre modded apparantly

not even an fmic

and as you were there at the run in 2012 heres my rr printput from when it eventually had a map in 2013..

falling apart somewhat your story now mat eh???

Example 2: An STI will need around 430bhp to keep up with a 360bhp WRX

Would you like a small wager on that, I take American Express

I mentioned "why the need for the FMIC on a 265bhp car tom?" as you recently claimed your car is still stock.

Cut out the BS and people might start to believe your trolling.

That graph is dated 2012 btw. Did you travel back in time for the map???

no fmic on my car and as you and fawor say it was bought pre modded at 430 or 60 or something ive forgotten.

rr printout for 2013 you were at the run in 2012

so the sti is faster than the wrx as confirmed by my 12.8 at 260 bhp

the car was stock in 2012 when you were at the run, 350 bhp is achieved on the proper impreza with just a map
