Widetrack Wipers

A rough calculation says a pair of piaa wipers
would have to last about 16 years to equal
the ebay ones I use for the same price.

I would look at the feedback for the ebay wipers as a lot of people say they are rubbish and a poor dealer etc.....
at the end of the day YOU get what you pay for and if you are happy paying such a small price for something which I have said should be top priority that's your thing....

Regards ebay feedback you just need to look at amazon feedback
on the piaa wipers to see that even that varies wildly from "brilliant"
to "sh1te, don't waste your money".
I will stick with my crappy "ditch finder" wipers which seem to work
perfectly well and in no way endanger myself or anyone else.

I've read on here people have had them on their cars for five to seven years.
I've tried Bosch, halfords, tescos, ac delco, valeo etc but they all squeak, which pisses me off no end. All struggle to last a year. The last time I used the Bosch wipers on my car was one heavily frosty morning a few weeks back. I defrosted the screen before using the wipers, but even after a 20min drive they still wouldn't clear the screen of the melted ice.
Even when other makes of new blade are put on the car I could still hear them wiping the screen. The piaa ones are silent, can't even tell the wipers are switched on. And they clear the screen perfectly.
Yes, they are more expensive, but 38 quid is hardly breaking the bank. And on a dark wet winter night, when you have got some muppet driving towards you with their fog lights on (and why are they almost always French sh!tboxes) they become priceless.

this was the point I was making earlier... people will put budget tyres on there cars and try to find the cheapest wipers blades but oh look I have just put a huge spoiler on the car or had this done on it to give me a couple more BHP etc when in reality safety should be the number 1 priority not how quick the car will go and the like

Like I said, I can put a new set of £4.98 wipers on every two
years and they work perfectly well and are silent too
and it still costs less than one set of piaa wipers over
the apparent 5-7 years that they last.
At the end of the day a fiver isn't a lot to try them out now is it,
and you never know you might save a few quid.
P.s. Who said that everything you buy for a subaru has to
be the "best/most expensive"?

Just giving my opinion of them, having used quite a few different brands.
They might even last longer than that, as that is what I have read people have had them on their cars for, not when they have had to change them.

I just get a little annoyed when people say you must buy "insert expensive item here" because its the best but have no rational reason why and poo poo all other opinions as being dangerous.
