Maybe this year get a new job, work a bit harder and get a budget to actually pay for the car you want? Id like a GTR, but if I wait for one to appear at £15k, i'll be waiting a long long time and have to make thousands of posts about how I can't seem to find one.

the first person who come to view payed the asking price and said he had been to see about 5 cars and mine was by far the best and a steal for the money
two days later he wrote it off , due to him been young , and messing with the dccd on a wet road and a round about
least I no you would of looked after it
it wasn't 100% mint but it wasn't far off and for the year it was mint
why don't you approach a import company and get one imported for you ??

Why not lower your budget to 5k
Get a car quick and you have 3k backup funds to replace the Engine when /if required
And also money to replace any other bits , touch up scratches if required
Plenty nice motors around and the best ones will always be on here or club forums that have been run by enthusuists
Put up your requirements again as I can't be bothered to look back for the last 12 months of your wants and this will probably be ten pagers anyway

He also doesn't realise that the cars that he is looking for are not made anymore and are diminishing in numbers. Which is only keeping prices strong.
If I had an example in prestine condition, I wouldn't let it got for peanuts. The extra effort and cost involved in keeping a car in such condition warrants a premium, which he doesn't want to pay for or travel to find.
A year on and no car? Any alarm bells ringing yet?

He won't. He wants a car in pretty much new condition for second hand money and he isn't prepared to travel great distances.

What some people seem to forget is that the fella has looked at a few that don't fit the bill,I believe has actually bought one but found out it was in a crash so sent it back, made some offers and some deals have fallen through. He is obviously in no mad rush to buy a car that he's not 100% happy with.
I say stick with it mate and you WILL find the right car,it's your hard earned cash and you've every right to post as many threads on the subject as you want. It's certainly better that a lot of the crap that's getting posted on here recently!

Just to add.... If you don't like his threads then don't read em....simples!

I always ask that question, no harm in asking..some people are willing to help out to make a sale some arnt.. I knew you wernt willing to yet I still asked for further info and pics because I was still interested.. yes a deposit could have secured it I agree but until I was sure I could make the trip I wasn't committing to anything.. you sold it and that was that.

If it doesn't bother you that you've been searching for 12 months then why all the threads? I can sympathise but you have to understand that these cars are getting rarer now and finding one in perfect condition will be tough, as the majority of owners will want to hold on to their gems If you want a mint car, you'll have to pay a justified premium, imo. Like someone else said, getting a car mint and keeping it that way requires a lot of time and money, so those cars will be priced higher. Any of these cars with under 90k miles is low mileage, considering some of them are 22 years old. You cannot expect to get an ultra-low-mileage car for peanuts. Maybe lower your expectations a little and/or up your budget? The longer your search goes on, you'll only have yourself to blame as values go up and they truly become out of reach. If it were me, I'd get a company like SVA to import one, job done

because he agreed to.. and how can you say I fail to commit? I bought one car..travelled and viewed others? hows that failing to commit? the bug was no fault of mine..and besides you know all about the deal with the bug and you know full well what the situation was
