There is a Subaru garage near'ish me, but wont use them for cost reasons. And the mobile mechanic that you will hear a lot of his name on here, Tim Farmer. I have spoken to him on several occasions and he too is unsure as to what it could be

after repairing all those cracks and splits etc would it be worth resetting the ecu , just a thought .

Is that by disconnecting the battery for a while? Is so, done that a couple of times now
