In the o.p's position I'd be sending them back. You could have Two new seats and change for that price. Might not be Prodrive WRC seats but wait...

 

Could of bought a pair of brand new Corbeau club sport seats with rails for £255 in that group buy.

So let me get this right:

- Even after all the bad publicity ASB get (which is easy to find on the net) you chose to deal with him. Ok, fine.

- The photos clearly show scratches on the back , so clearly not mint. Yet you agree to purchase.

- And for the cherry on top, you pay for these as a gift, therefore negating any chance of PayPal protection?

I'm going to have to stop before I crack a rib with laughter.

To be fair that is a situation of your own making. I and others fought your corner but given the events that played out can you blame people for being judgemental against you? It's not isolated incidents either. Quite a few people I personally know have had issues with you. You made your bed so you'll have to lie in it.

I dont think the seats were as poor a condition as that but I accept that S6VBY isnt happy with them, and although he has already fitted them I have offered a full refund before I leave

A.S.B is doing the right thing and offerd a full refund but why fit them if you are so unhappy?

Let me ask you something,would you be happy?losing 3 days money waiting on and having to drive to collect something that was not as described,as ive already said this is not about the money its about false advertisement.Buying from a trader on here i thought (wrongly) i could trust they were being honest but by some of the remarks made on this post this is not the first time ASB has been in the spotlight.Its all very well ASB offering a full refund now but there is a thing called consumer rights.

You say you didn't think they were that bad condition, did you look at them or someone else did....

Glad it's resolved for you though op, look on the bright side, you'll be able to swap seats over pretty quickly when you get replacements

 

if he leaves after every problem caused by selling dodgy parts, he will make more comebacks than rocky.
