chrisp,
"Loads of scoob owners on here the rest are simply wannabees "
You forgot about us ex-scooby owners.
Still have an IC RC scoob and a few models as well as the coat, T shirt, fleece, brolly etc. etc.

Me.
MY00 UK
(This question has been asked a few times before, so you probably won't get a full response this time...)
Quick guestimate:-
14000 members.
Reduce that to, say 12000, to account for people with multiple usernames.
Maybe half of them still active = 6000
...and half of those actually own a Scoob = 3000ish
Sound about right?

I've a Corrado VR6. I'm not a 'wannabee' however. I chose my VR6 rather than a scoob (please no VR6 vs Scoob threads). I do however get to drive my mates 260bhp scoob from time to time. (not to say I won't get a scoob in the future though, quite like a P1).
Personally I like the 'community' here. Well I do live in the muppet area most of the time.
