Power is nothing without control, first port of call would have to be sorting a decent ecu and syvecs S6 is ideal for what your looking for as Jura has said.
Back to the original question you are going to need to rotate the turbo for better flow of gases and along with most I suggest a gt35 aswell, that said a well supported gt30 with RCM hybrid intercooler/rad would compliment your already in place cosworth manifold resulting in very little lag.
Head work depending on what's already been done supertech valve train is the way with some cosworth cams to suit.

A gt30 won't do 600 on v power even with full supporting and say 2.35 it's just not big enough.
A 35 is more so needed to scrape 600 on pump fuel With full supporting and to get 650 on pump will norm normally be a hta 37 or similar size .
Enginetuner did a 650 horse on pump fuel with a hta 37 and built 2.35 which then made around 740 with meth.
Cheers

30R with 82AR should be making close to 600bhp,we are made on GT30 .63AR 555.5bhp at V-Power
Yes 35R will be and is better choice for 600bhp if you are aiming for 600bhp
HTA are great turbo, but they're not cheap and still if I would go again with turbo then Borg Warner EFR I would choose, they're similarly priced, but EFR range spools much better
If spools what matter most then 30R with 82AR or 35R with 63AR
Thanks,Jura
MDX321V will not make 600bhp on V-power alone, yes maybe close, what I've seen on V-power and meth this turbo making around 550bhp,seen few at 560-570bhp region
Thanks,Jura
Billet 30R with 63AR exhaust housing should make around 550bhp,with .82AR I would say close to 580bhp,but I've seen few which has making 600bhp on V-power alone
Thanks,Jura

Hello mate,
What part of Enfield are you in?
I'm a stone throw away, and met some guys who were originally in Enfield, but moved to Canning town, near Stratford.
I was at their garage over the weekend, they had 700bhp Evo's and scoobies there. They used to get their cars mapped at Zen, and Paul from Zen said their big power cars were put together well.
I'll PM you their phone number, your best off going down to see them for a chat. They'll give you good advice. They are really nice guys too.
They had 6 scoobies in when I was there on Saturday, as well as a load of other nodded Jap cars.

Nobody has mentioned that the garrett 'X' range of turbo's produce more power for the same old equivalent size.
i.e. GT3076R Vs GTX3076R. the X spools faster and produces more top end power....

I don't believe head work is essential, but it depends on the heads you are using.
A well known tuner stated that small port avcs heads work better than large port up to around 600bhp. Unfortunately he is no longer with us :-(

This "X" means Billet and most of people over here using Scoobyclinic GTX series or Lateral GTX which are most proven on the cars, those turbo are based on GTX series, but they using their own billet wheels and own exhaust housing
Old GT(non billet) spools slower and make less power, but I've seen few GT3582 make nice power at reasonable boost, all depends on more factors
Hope this helps
Thanks,Jura

Unfortunately, this falls into a case of 'what's available'!!??
Yes, I could go buy one of those other turbo's but I'd be paying at least twice as much!
Is there a link/thread that explains 'twisted turbo setup' or would someone mind taking the time to maybe explain it for me please?
I think I know/understand it but that's only from reading about it while looking at other stuff, not specifically that subject
Many thanks

By going rotated it allows you to fit larger turbos then you could get to fit in the O.E position, plus the turbo spools up quicker and comes in more hard, but saying that you can still achieve good figures now with standard position turbos as many of my friends have with SC billet turbo's and achieve very good bhp figures. But it all depends how far that you want to go with your car as going rotated does add additional cost pipework, external wastegate etc....SJ.

I guess what I'm asking is, it isn't the turbo that's physically twisted but where/how the turbo mounts to the up pipe and therefore how the downpipe is routed??
Is that right?

Hi Dazzle
I would search and wait, they usually pop up sometimes for sale there,we are waited quiet while for Twisted turbo setup, but at the we are went with custom one
You can buy twisted turbo setup from Hayward and Scott like for 5speed or 6 speed for around £550-£600,you will need external wastegate, this will depends on turbo, but 44mm are most used and then turbo of yours choice, usually used non billet GT30/35 cost around £600-£750
Here is it how it looks, this has been from our old wagon
And how it looks
Hope this helps there
Thanks,Jura

Thanks Boosted.
Is this just a picture you've found on the web or do you know the install?
I ask becuse I was wondering where the compressor outlet is routed?
From the picture, it looks like it might be routed underneath the MAF?
If so, I'm assuming that's because the Holset has a different outlet configuration to a normal Subaru Turbo?
