I'm going to throw this in to the mix and say...

Your car hasn't been mapped and your over boosting, most likely due to a manual boost controller?

You maybe able to tell by hard acceleration in 5th gear on the motorway, if you judder and it feels like power is dropping your overboosting

Genuine question
Its when the acceleration forces the fuel backwards on acceleration or sidways on hard cornering in the tank away from the pick up point, the more power the more force the fuel is thrown around in the tank and pressed away from the filter/suction so it just sucks air. Lower the fuel level the more likley to happen it will be.

It's like hitting a brick wall because engine is starved of fuel so missfires, can cause serious engine damage.

It's typicly high power cars that suffer from it due to the forces needed to do it on anything but a near empty tank, aka the fuel has to be pushed flat against the back/side of the tank.

In this case it will be map related i bet.

Have you checked your coil packs are not cracked, had a similar issue to yours under hard acceleration, might be worth checking?
