after a bit of research I found out it had been in an accident before it imported..so I wasn't prepared to carry my family around in it, especially as I didn't know what had been repaired and the full extent of the damage

maybe they have maybe they haven't but I wasn't made aware of it so without knowing what damage had been done apart from seeing some pictures I decided to return it

I bought it 4 years ago and paid 5k
It had been mapped to 340bhp.
I broke it for 6.5k which is good money seeing as the engine went pop

ultimately they will be worth a fortune as with so many being broke there will not be many left on the road and the ones that are will be mint.
Just got to make sure it says Prodrive on the logbook and have the correct body kit
There is two types of prodrives which are prodrive style and ppp (prodrive performance pack) which is an option. Mine had both which made it a prodrive style with ppp

No they have not!

Another spurious rumours put about by those with little or no knowledge of the categories when viewing auction sites. Some are imported for breaking and money can be made, have a look at the Jap Performance Parts website, they import wrecks for breaking.

The Japanese car dealers have far stricter rules and regulations than the UK market. It the UK importers that can cause problems.

No this one.

JDM Prodrive Style STi = GDBB4KH Engine code - EJ207DW4CR

It causes confusion with the UK cars and those who do not know or are unaware of the JDM cars, which are quite rare and only available in blue and white.

Blue and black were standard UK colours.
White and silver were special order only for the UK/EDM ones.

JDM was blue or white to my knowledge.
