I had it on in the background, muted, because I was busy doing work and every now-and-again I'd look up at the TV and I would think "what the hell is going on there". I just could tell it looked total crap without even any sound or hardly paying any attention.

I thought it was funny light entertainment. They could have thrown a nice supercar in and they probably milked it by the end but 10 episodes this time so they have plenty of time to redeem themselves.

plus the guy in the audience that shouted out to Ricciardo asking what the back of Hamiltons car looked like was funny, could of been staged but still funny.

That about sums up last nights episode to be honest. I can't recall there actually being any proper car bits at all (as in proper news/reviews).

Most of the people in my office found it hilarious, but 90% of them are morons, says it all really. It was amusing in parts but overall brain dead tv.

I thought Clarkson's lap with the stig was funny as was the ambulance delivery systems.

How many years have people been saying this for now?

For all the people fed up with what TG has become, yeah, the odd episode will crop up that you enjoy, but for the most part, this won't be the case. As it stands, the current format obviously attracts a bigger, wider audience, and the show is unlikely to change as a result of that, so maybe it's time to just accept that and move on or enjoy it for the light entertainment it now is.

That's not to say people should never be negative about an episode, but I really struggle to understand why people keep tuning in, that have hated it's current format for years in some hope it will magically revert back.

They have got the magic "Wining Ticket" so why on earth would they revert back to doing "Car Reviews" when Utube is full of them, times have changed and TG appeals to a very wide audience now and brings in huge sums of money, have none of you not noticed how the budget aspect has gone out of the window, how much do you think it cost to do what they did to the Porsche and the Granada, TG is a massive word wide success in terms of "light entertainment" it appeals to so many people on so many levels.

Why on earth would they "go backwards" and reduce there audience and income

Sorry lads but you need to get over it and enjoy it for what it is.
