I'm done here.

I made it clear to the OP that THERE IS NO KNOWN WAY TO BLEED A SUBARU FLAT 4.

Since that post, he has referred to either himself, or his expert garage, bleeding the car, or otherwise trying to get rid of airlocks.

We are wasting our time.

Trust me. The garage are wrong if they are trying to bleed it from the rad hoses. All you are going to end up with is one seriously ****ed engine....

But hey, what would we know......

Don't think you're doing yourself any favours nikra, they are trying to help and the advice is spot on from guys who defiantly know what they're talking about.
You have told me the garage in question(which I will not mention!!)
But they are a well known Subaru specialist so either you have your wires crossed and misunderstood what the garage told you or the mechanic who is working on it is a duffus?

As a "blocked rad" is very uncommon....

The system cant be bled.

And the pipe under the manifold probably is just the pipe for the IACV and can just be blocked off...

Get it sent somewhere that knows what they are doing

The main point here mate is you asked for help and advice, which you got and haven't acted on it. All you keep saying is I'm no mechanic and its in the garages hands. Again why did you ask for advice when you are not going to act when you receive it?

It wouldn't matter what anyone said as your just leaving it in the garages hands. Don't ask next time, then people, and you wont be offended.

Some members may be a little harsh on this,I know the lads replys haven't been the greatest but how I see it is,he has taken his car for a new radiator to a well known(some would say highly respected) Subaru specialists,I've never used them so can't comment on that one! The car is pretty much in their hands as I don't suppose it can be driven away in its current state and the bill would still need to be paid. Most of us know the rad replacement is a pi55 easy job but some people are just not up to any mechanical task hence him taking it to this garage. It will be interesting to see how much they are going to charge him for the work and if he will name and shame if he has been ripped off?
They certainly don't act like specialists if they're trying to bleed a Impreza cooling system lol

right the outcome. the car has been fixed. theyve put a new rad on and changed the thermostat and done a temporary fix on the water pipe under manifold for now. because it would of involved mre work and money. i have listened to what has been said on here. but the car was in their hands as it was not in the right condition to drive it..i dnt why it wouldnt fill back up they just said my thermostat was opening slowly, the new rad was blocked, which they had to get another. and the pipe underneath the manifold was leaking.. hence why it wasnt filling back up. it was just coming back up, out of the header tank and it wasnt circulating ...
